i find it hard not to laugh when I see how much they bleed and how hard they get hit, but i'm expected to believe they never have serious permant damage. Oh sure they have "scars" all over their bodies, but they're all basically just cuts, nothing that actually effects their ability to move, or think, or see. Nothing effects their eyesight or hearing. No brain damage. It's madness. They'd have to be using something like Lazarus pit constantly

Dick is actually Bruce’s legal heir even before being formally adopted, not Damian. He is also heir to Batman but has stated he never wants it so it goes to the next in line.

Seeing all these people in the comments saying Batman was holding back and how he can easily beat nightwing is just proof that people don't actually read comics because in many a storyline it's been stated by multiple characters that Nightwing is Batman's equal and might even be slightly better in pure combat prowess due to factors like his younger age, his acrobatic background, etc. Some of these people are so attached to Batman's sacs that they flat out ignore logic and what's literally written out on panels. Like wtf?

This fight symbolizes more than fighting prowess but progress as a character and Dick has proved that. This comic makes me a even BIGGER fan of Batman and Nightwing. The lesson Dick Grayson was founded on was you get better and grow then move on to the next big thing. Not even being Batman was endgame for him, something Bruce always wanted Grayson to takeover for him one day until he realized he’ll never stop there. It’s what makes him THE premier legacy character. From young boy acrobat to young sidekick to hero standing in fair footing with his mentors.

He doesn't really care to be apart of the justice league, He's lead the JSA and JL a couple times through battle, led teams of villains... Do you not read comics? Dick and Tim have (dead) dads so it'd be awkward. Dick also wasn't formally adopted like Jason was. Jason's dad is dead and Jason hated him, and he was also arguably the closest with Bruce in that way, so he'd be likely to call him dad...if it weren't for their complicated, stuck-in-comic-limbo strained relationship.

Nightwing was Batman’s first child technically so he views and treats him with a lot more care! Jason was screwed from the start cuz he could never live up to nightwing cuz he wasn’t like nightwing he was his own robin. And Tim wasn’t anything like Jason more like nightwing but with his own twist.

Tim was a thinker, a detective. But lacked the physical prowess and fighting sense of Dick or Jason. Jason on the other had ,is impulsive, overly violent, and quick to be emotional. It's what got him killed. And even though he's back, he still struggles with himself. Dick was the ideal. Level headed focused and physically capable to keep up with if not surpass Bruce.

Poor Alfred had to clean this up.

@@muleboy3537 I don't think it ever happened. It's definitely a win for him. It appeared as if Bruce felt ashamed by whatever Dick said. Which makes sense given that Bruce and Dick are extremely close allies. I think the physical fight itself could've gone on way longer. Batman would certainly be the winner as he has an extraordinary level of endurance, pain tolerance and stamina.

I keep hearing people say this chapter is a mean spirited but considering what Bruce is asking of Dick, I think its very considerate to give dick the chance to punch him in the face. Tell me, do you think Batman would needlessly draw this fight out until one of them is dead? No, of course not. So then his intention was to stop the fight once Nightwing had proven himself, which is what happened.

OMG, the Batman fanboys are something else. No, Batman didn't hold back, and no Batman can't easily beat Nightwing. It was stated in many stories that Dick is on par with Bruce when it comes to fighting skills, and that he is faster and more agile (World's Greatest Acrobat). Not to mention that Nightwing did more against Deathstroke than Batman ever did.

@@S.Drift.1 Doesn't matter what any thinks, the author who've written his fair share of Badman books stated he wasn't holding back whatsoever, that was one of Nightwing's own personal most important battles alongside Badman's... Spyral was no joke and Spyral's mission was like the Boys' mission... To get dirt and bring down every superhero in the world. Get their identities, their loved ones... What they value... What wasn't clear? Why would he hold back while also trying to awaken him and make sure he's on his best? What's so hard? At the end of the day, those feats were in the past. They don't matter...

How can they take this many blows to the head without numerous concussions and CTE? How can they get hit in the face this many times and not lose teeth? This is just silly.
