Shame they had to remove any bloodborne related stuff, but on the bright side, maybe now it can be released as an official game and make some fat cash? Earn them royalties, Noble Demon!

Because I'm dumb, I had to double-check if May is even a month that goes to 31. As a quick reminder to y'all, it does, in fact, go to 31.

Pretty funny that first we got Kitty Kart 64, a cutesy and fun *looking* racer that hides a nightmare...and now we have Nightmare Kart, a kart racer in a world of nightmares and eldritch abominations that's designed to sound and be a fun-ahh time. Great to finally hear news about Nightmare Kart with this banger :)

Is the intro Castlevania 3 or Bloodstained? I've been so gone from CV and Bloodstained that I've forgotten. EDIT: I'm stupid, I'm thinking the Basement Melodies remix from Dawn of Sorrow.

Your skill at composition and instrumentation is astounding, how does someone get to this level of consistent control over their craft? Conceptually I just accepted the idea that skill all blended together at a point once you got to a certain level of general competency, I don't believe in exceptionality, so something about this quality has triggered a philosophical inner crisis over the conceptual idea of skill. Have I underestimated the ceiling of skilled art? I'm genuinely starting to be confounded, I'm not wrong in saying her work is of exceptional skill right? Have I lost objectivity or is there something qualitatively different here from other hobbyist remix channels? Is this just a matter of taste? How did a remix KZread channel do this to me. *what the fuckk*

I'm not going to say that talent doesn't exist, but one thing I hear mentioned about complex skill is that the more that you do something, the more you internalize the basic stuff, then the advanced stuff you learn along the way. It becomes second nature, so that frees your brain from it and lets you push it further in other ways. Someone who relentlessly practices and improves on their skill, seeking new ways to refine it and expand it, will eventually be better than someone who has talent but stagnates. And if you got someone with talent who also likes refining their method even further and seeking new ways to apply it...

@@FandomAlbatross Thank you for adding to my confounded shpeal, "skill in art and what it implies" is not a topic available for discussion in my circles so it's nice to hear thoughts outside my own confused rumblings. I never liked to think that talent really existed because it implied some sort of fate or destiny for the untalented... like me lol. But It makes sense how you put it if people just learn in a way that makes some aspects of the process like second nature and achieve that with even the complex tasks that can make a difference. I realized one can learn faster sometimes by practicing shaky maneuvers that are prone to failure but achieve brilliant results on the off chance you get it right. You repeat those enough until even those shakier, riskier methods are guaranteed success and you've just jumped a skill gap some people may never even attempt. In this case I'm thinking of drawing or manual skilled trades, I don't know how you'd apply this to planning type work like composition. Still It's something I always observed and wondered about since a child but never really heard anyone discuess

@@bummedmachinist7483 I can totally relate to having lots of things I can't talk about with the people I see day to day, lol. Some days it sucks to basically be a citizen of the internet. I don't know about composition, but it can happen on pretty much any skill, really. In fighting games, for example, players start just by knowing the controls, then when that muscle memory sets they can start learning the intricacies of their character and the better strategies for them, then how that character compares to others and which strategies are best for each matchup. All that internalized knowledge leads to eventually being able to read opponents, to know what they are most likely to do. And there is an even more advanced skill, which kinda blew my mind, that is called "writing" opponents, which means that a player repeats certain actions in certain circumstances (like for example, whenever their opponent approaches with a jump attack) to fix that reaction, then changes it up and uses the reaction that the opponent is stuck in to turn the match around. In composition, I guess it's like a mass of internalized knowledge? Basic music theory, knowledge of genres and instruments and the feelings they invoke, knowledge of editing programs... Enough knowledge to know what you need to do for a song and the best way to do it. I'm just guessing here, but call it an informed guess, lol. What I do know is that this song plucks at the nostalgic strings of my heart, and I think it does that by limiting itself to the kind of sounds old consoles were forced to use due to technical limitations.
