The shadow is not real ...it is only a reflection of ....shadow work is bring the unconcious to the concious ...so ..if you hold a negative up to the light it will reflect the light ..but if you leave it uncouncious thats what it will reflect

Every ounce of you is telling you to leave this place, to abandon what you are searching for, but as you try to leave your feet have ceased to stop working, realizing now too late that you cannot escape from this nightmare.

Loneliness. Suffering. Helplessness. It's all with him. These and many other things are tangible and everyone knows them. He is like an afterimage that burns on pupils. Nobody knows it, and when it appears, everyone knows who it is and nobody knows what to do. Absurd? No, he is his brother, at least he knows jokes. No, HE is different. When he is absent, we forget about him. As if he never existed and will not exist anymore. In the memories it seems as something that he did not really take place. A stranger to many, an ally for the chosen ones. He looks through the curtain of blood to the names of everyone whom he has taken life. His face is a map of the world, he happens everywhere. And his name? Ah, you know him well. You know him as *the fear*

Nearly fell asleep listening to it the first time .. it's as if it drives the mind to its own darkest depths, soothing the evergoing battle inside and embracing the brooding darkness.

This is perfect for my Jonathan Harker narrative!

You have been transported to a demension of endless darkness, death, and nightmares with no recollection of how you came to be here. Strange sounds and voices echo throughout the dark passages and open spaces. Geometry here doesn't make any sense as every turn you make takes you to ever shifting rooms and landscapes of horrific geometry and structures. You feel like you've been wandering for eons. Every attempt to tell time or count, your vision goes blurry and your mind can't process the attempted action. Eventually a light starts appearing through the walls very far off at first but it gets brighter and brighter as you continue wandering. As you reach a part of this realm that can actually be identifiable as some sort of castle or keep, the light becomes blinding and you have no choice but to shut your eyes. As you reopen them, you jolt up out of your rented bed at the inn. Startled and confused, you take a few minutes to process your surroundings. Your stuff I where you left it, you can hear the birds and townsfolk outside your window, and you can smell food cooking from downstairs. The dream slowly fades as you gather your stuff to head out. As you are packing up however, you don't remember putting on a neckless with a large, black opal centered on it. You think nothing of it as yesterday was full of adventure and treasure and it was most likely from the massive ammount loot. At any rate, you think it looks cool and decide to keep it on. By this time, you've finished gathering your stuff and are ready to meet up with the other members of your party and finish those quests and get paid.

All I can think about this is some adventuring party trying to traverse this nightmare dimension, nearly losing their sanity and then just stumble across a D&D version of me just sitting at this nightmarish table just eating a roast of some kind looking unphased at all the bullshit happening around me. They're dumbfounded that they found someone else here and that I have and offered some high quality food. They ask "How am I still alive?" and I just give them the edgiest answer of "Every day of living is a nightmare. This is nothing." That thought alone makes me chuckle happily to myself.

Honestly, when I have nightmares, my automatic response is to fight back against them. I don't allow myself to have nightmares any more. None of my thrown punches in dreams are weak. I pick myself up when I fall from a building. I kick Oprah's asshole in for trying to execute my mom. My nightmares can't beat me.

I was just coming in to see if people knew this already. Nightmares aren't meant to be a thing that you find unpleasant and then it ruins your morning. The whole point of nightmares is to present a challenge. A way of gaining XP even in your sleep. I love nightmares! But only because I too have this wisdom. Guess I'm not needed here. Well done people. I applauded you.

My session involves two people within a stuck nightmare to wake up people in this other world so this ambience will be used for sure. Yeah, sounds pretty lame at first but I fleshed stuff out heavily and interesting and they love it

I have a campaign I am running right now. At some point in the future they will be sucked into a nightmare and be tortured. This is PERFECT!!! So creepy!

I Love Horror and it's Really Cool.

I'm scared!

(Thought I saw a person in my closet, got scared but it's just my clothes hanging out anyway I am not good at English but I will try my best.) Orion looked around in what seemed be a dark empty void, but the noises surrounding her made Orion feel slightly uneasy. The wisps of whispering by her ears as she continues to walk in what she prayed to whatever gods that might be listening, she prayed she was moving forward, maybe she could find the exit. Her breathing became ragged as she felt the void heating up, she stopped walking, debating whether she should continue or go back, 'Does it matter?' She thought to herself, 'How long have I been walking?' Questions filled her head but they weren't getting her anywhere. Maybe she was better off if she just continued walking, if only she had her sword....

Here is a salute to a fellow supporter. Here is my formula. This invites the chance of having some inspiration where my character is at first maybe uneasy about the year old ruins we made camp in. And whatever spirits are here.
