I work for a major poultry processor as a scale operator, and I can tell you after working beside them for years, these immigrants work hard, they dont complain, and they never get in trouble. They just want to raise their families, practice their faith, and have a shot at the American dream. What could be more noble than that? And there are literally millions of jobs in this growth industry that most regular Americans dont want. It's not because the pay is bad, it's because the work is hard. That father was right. We have room for these folks, and as long as Lady Liberty shines, we'll find a way. Every family in America came from immigrants at one point, and I bet they were hated too. Chinese, Italian, Irish, German, all of them were despised when they first came to this great country, and just look around at what they built, what we built. So next time you bad mouth an immigrant, think of your great great grandparents and the hate they had to endure. You would honor them by being more welcoming to these good people.

I think the most ironic thing about illegal immigrants are the largest driver of population growth in the US and supplies cheap labor in industries that no native wants to enter. Not to mention contribution to the local sales taxes and increase demand. I don't think there is any federal money going to help illegal immigrants, and the "drain" on local educational resources and other public resources are truly nothing compared to social welfare going to the needy communities, whether it be white, black, hispanic, etc that probably pays much less taxes in comparison if you account for how much they use vs contribute.

Americans are weak because our government insists on raising them that way. Kids want $20/hr to babysit while sitting on their iPhones. If you question it parents go crazy in you. Everyone hires landscapers when 16 yr old kids could make some weekend fun money and be cutting their neighbors lawns. But everyone acts like their kid is too good for that! Hard work makes your kid a better person. The less I had growing up the more motivated I became and strived to reach my dreams.
