I can’t even find a therapist that will see people in person AND take insurance. They all want to work remotely despite being in a field that requires human interaction. 😢

​@@missyyy- Does your workplace have an employee assistance program? If so, maybe you could try that. The first few sessions are usually paid by the employer. Afterwards, they take your insurance. That's how I found my therapist. Mine meets in person, but is willing to do remote sessions if something comes up - like an illness or a work obligation. It's the best of both worlds. If you're lucky enough to have access to an employee assistance program, like I did, it may cut some of the stress and bother out of finding a therapist who takes both in-person sessions and insurance.

When I get depressed, I'd rather get purr therapy from my cat than have a "therapy session" with a chat bot!

I live on the Monterey bay.... I used to think that but now it feels like we hardly ever have earthquakes here anymore. Decades ago it seemed like we got a few small ones (anything under 4.5) every year but now it feels like we have gotten one or two in the last 10 years. That's what it feels like to me anyway. So I have lost that sense of feeling used to them.

It's really sad that a lot of people that need therapy, can't afford therapy. The out of pocket cost are that of a dentist in a way ... 🤔 If you know, you know.

A big part of therapy is feeling your provider has sympathy and empathy for you. A machine, regardless of how advance it may be, cannot do that. You can't automize mental health care.

I want the hostage to come home…as I worry about their fate if they are in Gaza! But I noticed that we have a whole segment on the still missing hostages…and I cannot remember a segment like this with families of Gaza whose loved ones are being slaughtered or those still standing being starved? That simply doesn’t add up…

Before everyone comments how a 4 mag earthquake is no big deal, the west coast cities in the US have buildings constructed to withstand earthquakes and are built to sway along with them. The eastcoast is not built that way so the buildings will feel and be less structurally sound. It is scary. A 4 mag earthquake can feel as bad as a 6 in buildings that arent made to handle that movement.

But it's always a crapshoot out here in California if these newer or retrofitted for earthquake buildings are actually going to withstand strong earthquakes. Questions include how many earthquakes before have possibly loosened up the buildings, especially the one experiences and earthquake. And if the retrofittings we're properly done or might have rusted.

Bwahaha! And it’s common knowledge the east coast is also on a fault line. It’s just been luckier than the west coast so far. (Granted, the west coast has more Pacific Ocean tectonic plates) but still. Ever heard of the 1994 Northridge quake? I was in it. Freeways collapsed. Apartment buildings. Businesses and cliffs tumbled. I was also in the 1971 quake when my sister was a newborn and the 1987 quake in a makeshift dorm room bunk bed where I swore my roommate was being a jerk. Then again in 1989. Too many to itemize. Many big, many little. True, I take quakes in stride. But that’s why the LA skyline looks so fresh. Experience. You can’t replace the Empire State but fortification might not be a bad idea

This was done inside the Prison, on video from numerous angles and witnessed by multiple Correctional Officers. Here we are THIRTY YEARS latter and he is still alive and filing appeal after appeal. @@Reaper-cm4jr No, absolutely not, he's guilty and if he was put to death I wouldn't care. You're right, there's often video evidence proving who's the killer in absolute. The problem is, when there is no video it's not always absolute with bad witnesses, for example. We know many cases of inmates who were wrongly accused, and get out now that there's DNA to prove it. Therefore, because the system is fallible we can't have a Death Penality because of the risk of executing an innocent person, which we know has happened a lot down South.

But often there's no video and we rely on witnesses who can and do get it wrong or poor police work, not all police are honest and professional. So, even though there are many who should be executed because of videos, the system IS fallible so we cannot risk executing the innocent. We see innocent people getting released from prison because we have DNA now and they're proven innocent. But down South innocent black men were executed who were innocent, I'm sure it still happens. Therefore NO Death Penalty because of the risk of executing an innocent person. Btw, now with AI, we can't even trust all the videos. Yes, the killer gets to live, not fair, but better that, than killing an innocent human being. ✌️

Please God, end the suffering of war, why is it that we cannot learn to negotiate the love of humanity and move beyond pain, free the hostages, those in Gaza and in Isreal. why do the innocents have to Make up for the wrong of others.
