This song makes me wanna fix every single problem in my life. I wanna go to bed early, wake up early, do good in Animal Crossing, talk with friends, clean the house, take the dog for a walk, get my schoolwork done quickly, complete a bunch of things, and just get OUT THERE!!! When I finally become a great doctor with a husband/wife and kids, I'm gonna come back to this song and search for this comment like my life depends on it. I WILL GET THERE!!! Edit: so this was a fucking lie. I slipped into depression. One word... F U C K Edit 2: nevermind! I got my shit together again Edit three: HEYYYYAAAAAAA. I MANAGED TO GET A PARTNER. THANK YOU SCOOTER FOR BELIEVING IN ME ENOUGH TO DATE ME :D Edit four: It's been a long while. I guess I'll leave an update. I finally got antidepressants, but there were a lot of medical issues along the way. My cat Mauser died, he was my best friend of ten years. Things are still going well with Scooter. Things are coasting along right now. It's not living hell, but I'm not really at my prime. The best I can say is life is life and I'm still here. Edit five: Okay, okay. Y'all have been askin' how I'm doin' so it's high time I gave an update. I feel like SHIT. Sometimes. I have breakdowns at random intervals, typically at around noon when I'm working on something and get lost on how to do it and feel like a failure. But aside from that, life is GREAT! I mean, I'm interacting with my friends more than ever, my friends are feeling good too, I wake up in the morning with ease instead of taking 15 minutes to even open my eyes, I'm doing pretty great emotionally! Could use a bit more eating here and there (I've been having a hard time getting 2 meals a day in) and exercise probably would be good for me given how idle I tend to be but I'm still here and alive! Edit six: It's that time again. Okay, so, things are still coasting along. Sometimes there are extreme crashes (just a few days ago I had a panic attack and derealization episode) and sometimes things just go along okay. Today hopefully is one of those just okay days. On Sunday (currently April 29th, Thursday) I got in a bit of exercise in a way I hadn't done in ages, but that kind of fell after what happened on Monday (the panic attack). I'm still spending some time with friends and, well, I don't feel like crap ALL the time. If I do, it's mainly physically or that I just can't do something I should. I'm alive, I'm sort of well, and with summer on the way, I might enter the productive flow I did last year when I made this comment, and hopefully, things will look for the better and stay that way. Peace! Edit seven: It seems I'm in a worse state than I was last year. Yikes... I'm losing control over my mind and body. I scream at myself to eat something as my mind makes it even harder to eat. I'm tearing at my fingertips during schoolwork despite telling myself not to. I can't even ask for help when I'm spiraling out of control. I'm so far behind on schoolwork that it's impossible to make any kind of joke out of it. I just want control back. I know it's harsh to drop this so suddenly but it's another update. I know I'll make it out alive (I better, or else I'm seriously gonna be disappointed in myself). In good news, I've been able to visit friends in-person lately, and I figured out my gender identity and that I'm a-spec, so I have that going for me. Gonna spend Halloween with some friends and I also have a therapist, too. Finally coming to terms with my polyamory (polyamorousness? whatever it's called) and even though it's hard I'm overcoming all the trauma, guilt, etc I feel around being that way. This has been Anya on October 18th, Monday, 2021, at 9 PM, and I hope I live to make another update. It seems I've got random people cheering for me, so that gives me a bit of a boost. Thank you all for the support despite me just being some random teen on the internet who got a productive spree out of nowhere sometime in 2020. Peace. Edit eight: okay. wow. I have A LOT OF GOOD NEWS. First off: finally started being open to my therapist! Secondly: repressed emotions are coming up and I'm able to feel strong emotions again because of it! Third: started attending my GSA club again without burning out, and am able to have a genuinely good time! I also overcame my habit of wrecking my nails, and at one point they were long enough to go click-clack against my phone screen! I'm going outside more and spending more time with my family, plus I've found romantic(?) feelings towards a close friend of mine that had apparently been repressed for two years, and sometimes I just can't stop thinking about them (if you're wondering, the previous partner turned out to be aro-ace). I also reunited with another friend of mine who I hadn't talked to in a long while, which was nice! My outlook on life has changed from "life sucks and hates us, let's keep going out of spite" to "things do get better with time and change." I even came up with a new phrase: life is like a box of beanboozled jellybeans. It has good and bad things (as opposed to chocolate, which is always at least somewhat sweet), and you're going to experience a mix of both. The most important thing to remember is, the more bad jellybeans you go through, the higher the chance the next bean or a few are gonna be good ones. Keep going! My journey- and so many others- are proof that things can and will get better! I believe in you all! (Date of addition: March 22nd, 2022). Edit nine: It's been a few months! A little birdie told me someone wanted an update, so an update I shall give! Things are still going great! I'm going outside a lot, doing a lot of swimming because it's summer, and consistently get up at 7 AM each day. I got my first Kirby game a week ago (the most recent one), and I've been having tons of fun with that. I've gotten into playing D&D with friends and it's SO much fun. I tune into livestreams a lot and have a lot of fun there, too. I've been spending tons of time with my family, which is great! I've started reading books again, too, which I love doing so much, especially if I have good music going. I'm amazed at how far I've come in just a year. Around this time last year, I'd be insisting that sunlight would do nothing for my wrecked mental health and spend every single day hiding in my room. Now I have a very frequent urge to go outside for random reasons, and I spend a lot of time with friends, family, and my pets. Once again, I can testify that things really do get better with time, effort, and support. Thanks for cheering me on all this time, and here's to almost 2 years of this comment existing. (Date of addition: June 21st, 2022). Edit: 2023, huh? I think this summer I'll make one last update. I'd end it here, but it seems more fitting to end it near the 3-year anniversary of the comment. It's tiring to keep updating it, and this comment is getting looooooong. Once again, a lot has changed. School stress is getting to me, but I still have A's in all my classes. I lost a friend of 2 years back in September, but things sometimes just happen. I'm also struggling to process that it's a new year, but that happens to everyone, right? All in all, aside from those three things, I'm doing pretty good! My old writing buddy and I managed to get back together and write like old times, I've started another writing project with another friend, and I've been trying to be more social with all my friends in general. My grandpa moved in-state and now lives only 20 minutes away, so we go visit him every week. I've been gaining confidence in my singing voice, and sing whenever I listen to music! I'd love to stick around and talk more, but it's 8 am and I've got work to do. Cy'all this summer for that final update! (Date of addition: January 3rd, 2023) Edit: Well, I'm a little late on my update, but it's time. I'll probably keep it short, but nothing too revolutionary happened this summer. I started watching more livestreams, but that's kind of minor. I picked up Duolingo Japanese in May, and haven't broken my streak since. I've started to retrain my brain to not tie the value of a day to an arbitrary "productivity" category that almost nothing fits under, and to focus more on how much I enjoyed myself in those moments rather than in retrospect. My writing buddy and I picked things back up over the summer, and what we're making now is much higher quality and more comprehensible than what we did when we first started. I went to Monterey with some old friends, and while I didn't quite click with them like I used to, it was still fun going there. I found myself enamored by the jellyfish, and that led to me realizing they're my favorite animal in the deep blue horrorfest that we call the ocean. School's starting again and I feel kind of confident that I can tackle it well. I don't sing as much as I want to, but that's because I've learned some of the habits I've developed while singing aren't ideal, and I should work on those before I pick it back up again. I'm sorry for giving such a lackluster final update, but I've learned life doesn't have to be constant action and movement, and I should try and balance productivity and action with relaxation and enjoying the smaller things. I might come back and update this comment again someday, I don't know yet, but it's been a nice three years. Maybe we'll encounter each other in another corner of cyberspace, or hell, maybe somehow cross paths in the real world. When I was just in elementary school, I was into FNAF, and my parents never got a long, while dad gave misery mom was always working. This song gave me hope that I would find meaning in life, and just a reason to live. I'm in highschool now, and have found plenty of reasons for living. It's funny how we find a way? If I could, I would give applause to you, and to all the others who try so hard. As hard as we try to make something of ourselves. We all made it a long way, and these verses of art have gave us a way to cope, and live. ✌️✌️✌️

Oh wow... This really hits home. 2012-2015 were about watching anime, sharing content to the community on Facebook, listen to nightcore versions for hours, and enjoying the teen years of my life. Now I'm 23, life sucks, being an adult is very shitty, and the music industry is not what it used to be. Hell, books and movies were waaay better in the 2000s - 2010s. I miss the good ol'days

To be on our own and make friends who can't last? Did the lost of our friendship ever make you cry? Feel empty or sad---or have you ever even wondered why? We've grown older and we realize that things often change. They don't need to end but they cannot stay the same. Still, in the back of my mind this question won't end... This reminds me of the time I was really good friends with a girl but I was too stupid to notice that she liked me, and then I did some really stupid stuff and then she left me and when it happened I was so mad and confused, I was talking about her badly to my other friends and they then left me b cause they didn't want to be friends with a jerk that doesn't care about anyone but himself. Then because I was so lonely I started going through deep depression and started doing things that have scarred me (literally) and because of that I looked back at what I did and how terrible I was too my friends and family that one I was done crying myself to sleep I started going to see help and they helped tremendously and I was able to get my friends and family back and that girl I went and wrote a song to her even though I have a terrible voice I knew she would love since she was always that kind of person and now we are back to being friends and I'm back to being happy. If you read this thing all the way thank you so much to reading my life story and goodbye. Sincerely Jackson

After reading all that i can see ur a very strong person. Im in a deeply faze of depression couse my best friend died the day before my birthday and without him i cant face the day, im "chained" at my bedroom, i dont wanna see anybody, that isnt my best friend, i left my studies. Everytime I listen to this I end up crying. Because It makes me flashback to every single happy moment in my life then followed by the realisation that I am never going to be able to re-live that. it's gone. from memories from when I was 5 years old to memories that happened months ago. All of it. gone. I used to listen to this song back in 2016 when I was 13 and going through my first break up. It's good to reminisce the old nightcores. I came back here after 4 years ago. Those days were so much easier in life💔

This song makes me remember all the good times I had with my old friends when we were six. We would always have sleepovers and have fun in the car and listen to music while my dad would sleep, good times :)

I know the feelings. I have some childhood friends as well. Then again, all of them changed one by one as we got into high school. My childhood friends have changed, made new friends, moved on and forgotten me but I haven't changed just so I could have more friends. People change just to fit into social circles, get accepted by other people, etc. One of the many things I want to give you guys is this. When you do change to fit into groups, etc. and please other people, you're throwing away a part of yourself (the "real you"). When you do change according to "your own will for the better", you add more to yourself and you'll have the power to influence and change the world in your own ways. One of my greatest dreams is to influence others and change this world for the better. It may seem impossible but if you set your heart and mind to it, nothing's impossible. This is one of the encouragements I want to give to those out there who are misfits and outcasts. This is also for those people who have suffered and have no confidence and the desire to achieve their own dreams because of other people. This is also for ordinary people who want to change the world for the better as well. Believe in yourself and don't change the way you are because of others. You can add more to yourself by doing normal things to help people, change the way things are for the better, etc. Don't let others change the way you are. Don't be afraid of being who you really are. The "real you" is what makes you different and stand out from other people. Everything's different and special so don't criticize others and don't try to please others. Just be yourself!

If he broke up with you.... you know you fucked up. A guy almost never wants to end a relationship they worked hard on, so unless it wasn't serious or he is a womanizer it's your fault. If you worked hard getting the girl of your dreams while they didn't do shit and just waited until they felt like giving you a chance would you break up with them or cheat? No guy in their right mind breaks up with a girl they don't regret or isn't crazy.

listening to this and other nightcore songs brings me back to some of my most precious memories that I before didn't remember but now I'm just filled with so much emotion, never knew listening to music I used to listen to cound have such an effect now but I'm glad

I still remeber listening to this song for the first time and knew that it would be my favourite
