Hi all, I'm the artist of the painting used for this video. (@Naisk47) As of writing this comment, I'm currently going through a lot of anxiety (especially with the current advancement in AI technology) and doubt on myself and my own ability to make art, but looking back at your comments discussing the painting, it really encourage me to continue my path. I wanted to say thank you so much for the comments and discussions on this piece :) For years I have been reading your comment on who the protector is and the deep meaning behind this, but the truth is, there's no deep meaning behind it, it is what you see it is. When I painted this, it was just a practice painting I didn't put much thought in, I paint what was already in my mind. The only deep meaning behind this to me is that art is open for interpretation, you're free to form your own opinions on it.

Even if there's "no deep meaning behind it" I do believe there is a meaning that is great. It represents your journey as an artist, maybe not telling a story like ' battling with someone or something' but it something you, as an artist made. You surely struggled until you got to that lever and for me, that is a good meaning behind it.

Actually, looking at it carefully I see why the picture is noice. I see it now and the little effect of the dust or snow blowing around that was good too. I see the little effects that tie this picture and nightcore together nicely

I love this; I'm a therapist, mentally ill and traumatized myself, and I love my work with clients but so often I'm there after the damage is already done. Working with teenagers is actually my favorite because even though I can't punch their parents and adopt them (even though I wish I could) I can charm their parents and advocate for them both with parents and with school. I needed a protector when I was little and I'm still healing from not having one and the subtle trauma of not being able to protect other kids; so this hard commitment with no reservations and no mercy to the ones who did wrong feels exactly like when I get to protect my teen clients. I still have to fully master thinking before reacting, but that in itself is powerful and I've been making great progress as a professional there; after all, if I'm not civil and professional despite seething with absolute hatred, I won't be able to keep being a protector. So sometimes being a protector is standing resolute against the worst of it with an axe of words and then being the shelter for them to go to when what I couldn't hold back gets them. We'll win the war, and that's what matters.

To be completely honest I love this song it makes me think of things I normally wouldn’t, for example, “would I be willing to fight to the death against something or someone I know I cannot win against?” And the answer is yes, I would gladly die if it meant I could protect the person I love/care about, like family. (Even though they don’t see me as a “protector” they see me as the one needing protecting witch hurts but it’s fine)

I agree with this and I side with this at my school we get off campus lunch at the end of the week and i always carry my pocket knife. I don't do it just to have it I carry it so in the 1 in a million chance me and my friends get attacked or something I can fight back and keep them safe I would rather get hurt keeping them safe than let one of them get hurt knowing I could have done something about it

yeah i feel u but my family sees me as a protector im the youngest but im good in self defense so my family doesnt worry abt me much but they worry abt my elder sister . if we ever have to go out im always looking over her and the other young children . sometimes my family makes me feel powerless when they say im not strong and that i need protection .but idc . And u should care too if ur willing to give your life for your loved ones then u are braver than anyone else in your family and your stronger than u think

Haven't been listening to nightcore lately but this is good.

This helped me when I was having a panic attack on a boat ( I don't know how to swim, it was my first boat ride and they didn't let us wear life vests unless it was an emergency) and listening to this song calmed me down

The axe in the tunnel is actually a pretty good matchup, that katana's swing arc is kinda bit too large like even if the samurai does that one method of alley fighting it's still gonna be a bitch to maneuver, also because of his height, that low ceiling is gonna make things awkward and then the floor is not level. as for the girl, she got a short weapon with a much smaller arc and she doesn't have the tunnel ceiling making her crouch. my money is on the girl as long as she holds her ground.

@@wander1139 You're correct the armor is folded over and linked plate armor meaning hard steel, the axe is whats classified as a blunt weapon meaning it takes brute strength to wield it, we can also assume hes wearing a leather jerkin under, however the song is classified as Protector so we can safely assume that samurai is not her enemy, but is her protector instead. Likely teaching her to protect herself as well.

The number of people saying that it's Chara protecting you from the samurai x) Strange 'cause to me it was as if the samourai were talking to Chara ( i identified her after having that thought.) True the samourai has his sword ready, but what if he just fought against her pursuer? before catching her in the sewers? where she was running to hide herself. When listening to the music i imagine that those are the word from the samourai to Chara. And while some say that it's obvious the samourai is a bad guy because of the red and dark colour...not to me. But red is my favorite color, it represent fire, blood, but also love or hate. two of the strongest emotion. And fire can kill, but also protect, shape, feed. ( through cooking, and forging.) That's why to me red isn't really a "bad guy" colors. Furthermore the red part on his helmet is reminiscent of the Mandalorian helmet. Wich are proud Mercenary with a strong set of values, a code they follow, based on Honour, like the Samourai. And samourai are usually represented as a force of good, being noble and rightful. So even if you look at his color, to me there's nothing that say "bad guy" to me. especially since the lack of colour can be explained by the lack of light. they're in the sewer, the only light come from behind him. And having the light behing could make him appear as a savior/protector. Or an obstacle to go to that light. Both can be true. That was just a simple man sharing his view on this picture and song x)
