"see me change into something darker" this is my favorite line for so many reasons. one is obvi, it sounds fucking cool like broooooo, but also like this reminds me of so many people and book characters when you have to slowly watch your loved one slip away from you. that itself is it's own form of torture because you know no matter what you do, you can't save them and you have to watch helpless and useless as the person you came to love die off and become something much more sinister. and for the rest of your life the one haunting your nightmares isn't some villain or demon, no it's them. they stare at you every night, a reminder of everything you couldn't do woah that was a lot darker then I thought it was going to be lol
