The 12th is the anniversary of my brother's death, with my step-dad being basically absent and being a disciplinarian and my dad not around he was the only one that felt like an actual role model of 'this is how you live life'. Not via hitting or verbal insults but with problem solving and examples and jokes. Not specific almost 'classes' but just living and talking about our days, what we were doing. Recently it's been so long since I've looked forward to doing something like that, with friends proofing to be less than what I'd thought and just loneliness combined, I feel you. I joined a military program in my high school and ironically it's actually been really helpful; it's one of the first times others, especially in school, that other people have genuinely felt worried about me; whenever I'd miss schools no one would bat an eye except our Master Sergeant who'd call my mother and ask what was wrong. I'll share with you, what I'd only tell my brother each beginning of semester or when our classes changed, it's what I told him on his death bed before he chose to donate his organs. First hour, JROTC, the military program I talked about, I'm very excited to do things like Color Guard with my fellow cadets, VERY excited to wear the new uniforms and having that pride in ourselves. Second hour, Architectural Drafting I, it seems to do with a lot of math and inches; the most American thing ever, I think I'll like it though some of my classmates are really unserious of the class or just school entirely. Third Hour, Foreign Language Class, not going to list the actual language because then I could doxx myself so it's certainly a class; only 3 people so it's very close with the nonchalant teacher. Fourth Hour, Algebra II, honestly one of the first times that math has actually made sense; no longer are things glossed over because we were the 'advanced' kids, really like the teacher; he's played D&D like our family. Fifth Hour, Welding Technologies I, yeah we live in that part of the nation where this is really important. Everyone else already has experience and I thoroughly feel challenged to catch up with them. Nothing else really, just something new. Thank you Mr. Viewer, I'll never know you and you'll never know me but had I told any of my friends this they'd never get it and I doubt you would too but it's certainly better than just a sent or seen and worse a "yea, ok but..."
