Thank you so much for this video. It came in very handy in the classroom recently. The children (10 & 11) have been learning about Islam and its art through the study of prayer mats and Persian rugs more widely. You focus beautifully on the carpet shop so I thought it would be a lovely way for them to see an example of the world famous Persian rugs for sale in their land of origin, all whilst broadening their minds and challenging misperceptions by showing them a snapshot of everyday life in today's Iran. To set the scene, I started the video at the crossroads about a minute before getting to the carpet shop. The children were very interested in what they saw and full of anticipation for the shop. They cheered and clapped as we went past it!!! 😅❤️

@@galaxymyt4834 I am aware of this, and explain it to my pupils. Before settling down with my Dad, my mum dated an Iranian guy for six years and at home we had some of his records, released during the reign of the last Shah, with unveiled women wearing mini skirts on the sleeve. From a young age I was aware that Iran had undergone changes, and have since read Persepolis. It saddens me that people judge a country by its regime, rather than its people, many of whom don't agree with the regime but who have no choice but to follow it publicly.
oh i miss Tehran so much :( keep up the good work can't wait to see more videos

Safe u tehran by virus frm pakistn long life u
