    There's just only few things to keep in mind When you set up the helmet, light weight (like opscore highcut or MTEK) adjustable accesories and spaces (try to use those spaces like ARC rails ) try to make it simple as you can (don't make it complicated its just adds more weights on your head) choose comfortable head platforms (There's a tons of helmet foams and liners out there but think about the durability, weights, comforts before you buy) weight balance (weight balance will decide how long you wear the helmet)

    instead of condescendingly complaining about such a petty thing, next time just turn the volume down and put on closed captions. also for emotional support you could play your favorite taylor swift song while you watch to help get you through

    @@joeyt8092 No, it’s a valid complaint. From a consumer prospective. They have also mentioned they want to become the go to resource for all things night vision. You cannot become the go to resource in any area without presenting a professional presence. They’ve done really well on previous content, audio and visuals wise. For some reason this video had noticeably bad, distracting audio. Letting the creators know by interacting through the comment section can help them to fix the mistake in the future and not repeat it.

    Just getting into night vision. Would you recommend a counter weight for a single PVS14?

  • @briankudalis9572

    @briankudalis9572

    Depends. My bump helmet needs a counterweight , my fast cut ballistic and mich 2000 ballistic don't need counterweights . I just use the pouch for an extra battery and lense cloth . Put it on and go use it . If it sags down add some weight. The ear pro and comms help hold it up too without need for a counterweight

    Biggest question, like said above do you have a bump or ballistic helmet. Nods you usually do need a counter weight but a mono you can get away with it unless you're using a bump then it's recommended.

    I don’t have NODs but I have a ballistic helmet with Ops Core AMPs and because the arms mount at the back they do in fact put the weight towards the back so that may act as a counterweight

    When I bought my Ops Core SF the first thing I bought with it was the Ops Core AMPs because I knew right off the bat that helmet mounted earpro is a must for me. Other than that I only put a flag patch on my helmet. I don’t have NODs yet so I don’t know what else I would need so why would I needlessly add weight to my helmet?

    One question I have then is whether or not ballistic rated helmets are worth the cost and the added weight? And is so, what would y'all recommend both ballistic and non-ballistic? Personally I have my eye on Team Wendy's Maritime Ballistic helmet but I'm not sure if that's necessary.

  • @LicentiaArmsCo

    @LicentiaArmsCo

    Жыл бұрын

    That is honestly going to come down to your needs. If you are only going to have one helmet setup and like having ballistic protection then a ballistic is a good route. If you don’t need the protection a carbon will be lighter and more comfortable. We would recommend to look at the Opscore SF line. They are far superior than the team Wendy helmets.

  • @RabbertKlein
    @RabbertKlein2 жыл бұрын

    Sweet setup. I personally have 4 flashlights on my ops core carbon. That should be the bare minimum number of lights honestly. 4 will hold you over until you can get a chinook to drop off a pallet of flashlights for your helmet and if anybody disagrees with me, you're a f@ckin' hack

    Can you expand on this please.. I’d like to simplify my thoughts on the night vision/tech equipment.. I was going to go with a monocular and Wilson mount.. but was thinking I could just go to a better rifle mounted thermo.. any thoughts woukd be appreciated.. thank you
