Night Vision Helmet Setup | PVS 14 & iRay MH25

My personal night vision setup is...unique. Bridging the PVS 14 and iRay MH25 thermal allows me to experience the best of both worlds. While this setup is not perfect, and it does have flaws, it allows me to do everything I love with nightvision, and everything I love with thermal.
Helmet mounted thermal technology is rapidly expanding. The tech is amazing and the capabilities continue to blow my mind.
If you are in the market for thermal or night vision, PLEASE, consider purchasing some of our in stock units! You can shop optics here at our NEW brand (Arkayne Co): arkayne.com. Yes, this is my company and team. Same people, same commitment to culture and quality. New brand. Grab some gear!
If optics are out of the question, consider supporting me by purchasing a steel target system. Steel target systems help you train efficiently and our systems are built to last and backed by our warranty. Use code KEYSTONECARRY at checkout when purchasing steel targets here: www.tatargets.com
As always: Thank you for watching. Get out, get training, I will see you in the next video.

I run duel white phosphorus on my ops core and have my Iray Mh 25 on a lanyard around my neck powered by a 10,000 mill amp battery pack that stays in my hoodie pocket while varmint and hog hunting with suppressed .22 / 1 Moa red dot. I found it to be easier to just flip up my goggles and grab the mh25 to heat scan, then drop the goggles back down to shoot the animals.

Hi there great video I’ve been using thermal scopes on my rifles now for several years and I’ve always wanted a pvs14 but the pvs14 can not be shipped out of the USA is that still the case but the MH25 looks like a pretty good option apart from the fact that you can’t see through glass so wouldn’t be great for driving but might be ok for walking up on game on a helmet mount cheers

I wonder if digital nightvision is simply going to have hybrid features in the future. Say have a thermal mode override nightvision mode during nighttime hours or low light for a few frames just to flash picture something and then the user decides if they want to adjust settings in order to identify. In mostly hi light or bright sunny days then the thermal feature is still active but either more frames for the "flash feature" and maybe even augmented reality features such as an outline and possible suggestions from the digital system in what it is likely to be and maybe even a way to stimulate the user into focusing on that signature temporarily even if somehow the user uses the visual ques.

It's completely different. An Ecoti will mesh well with your vision so the only thermal you see is just the minor overlay. However your detection range is smaller, you get more false positives, and you add a lot more weight and bulk to your setup. The advantage to the Ecoti is that awareness is faster. You don't have to manipulate your bridge, the thermal overlay is already always on so you can use your IIT like normal, and then just pay attention to the thermal overlay whenever you don't see anything under IIT to catch your immediate attention. IMO do not buy an Ecoti until you already have a thermal weapon sight or at least a thermal monocular. Ecoti provides an advantage, but not one worth the cost compared to a thermal weapon sight or monocular unless you already have those available to you or someone in your fireteam/partner. Even then, I sold mine because I really don't use it. A thermal weapon sight has more utility because you can shoot through smoke/light vegetation, and a monocular is more decisive in being able to pinpoint what actually is a target thermal signature and what is just ambient heat sources.
