Great stream the other night. I watched night school a lot but we watching it again it's really well done with amazing editing and acting. This is not your typical stupid 80s slasher movie.😮

for sure... interesting thing about early 80's slashers a lot of them are very different because the tropes weren't the norm yet.

I’m really enjoying these Cruel summer slashback videos you’ve put out. These are honestly my favorite kindof streams y’all do. Forgive me if I missed it at some point, but would you guys take recommendations or is the slate already set up? I was kindof curious if either of you seen Star Time from ‘92. It’s an odd, almost avant garde, dramatic slasher. Anyhow thanks for the content fellas

We will always listen to recommendations but this year we are going for 80's slashers, mainly ones we haven't given proper review to.

I enjoy both of these films but prefer The Mutilator over Night School.

Mutilator is definitely more of a paint by numbers slasher, both are pretty solid.

Night School was a pleasant suprise, clearly an attempt at an american giallo (school girls in peril narrative) just doesn't have the finesse and solid writing especially when comes red herring and final reveal. The kills are weak but still enjoyable.

if Alfred Sole directed it I think it would be more well known than it is.

@@DEADPIT Yeah definitely. I'd argue if Brain De Palma directed they wouldn't just call the film a mere slasher
