The robot drives off into the darkness, heading to a distant waypoint, powered by Overland AI's OverDrive autonomy stack. The video then shows a live recording from the command post of an engineering display showing telemetry, sensor input, and the cost map generated using only onboard sensors and compute. The cost map is projected onto satellite imagery for operator convenience. This robot is not using advance maps or GPS breadcrumb trails during this run, it is just finding its own way to the distant waypoint.
At 1:23 the operator switches the display from infrared to the front RGB camera, revealing total darkness outside of the vehicle's status indicator lights. At 2:06, the stack recognizes a road in the darkness and is able to use it to increase its speed to greater than 8 m/s.
