Imagine your brother turns around, face a bluish pale, with the most sincere look of longing and astonishment. Arms out as if he wanted to nothing more than to have you in his grasp. He walks toward you with carefully placed steps that make it seem like he’s trying to be sneaky. He moans at you with a grim/low toned yell as if he’s in pain every second you’re not in his arms reach. You step back in confusion, knowing not why your brother is acting in this strange manner. He grabs your face... pinching with the force of a dog’s jaw strength you push him away realizing his intent to kill as you see him immediately try to grab you a second time. You run upstairs to get your parents, but as soon as you enter the room, you find their mutilated/dead bodies.

I first saw NOTLD with my dad back in 1976 on the Creature Feature show-Scared the living Hell out of me- still does me now when I see it and I,m pushing 50! Still the best- Thanks for putting this on KZread. Mike in Fresno, Ca.

I had a curious thought of if this theme inspired the music to E2M2 in the original Doom. Lol I’m not asking a question I’m just stating what lead me here at this particular moment. Doing my own little investigation. I know a lot of the music was inspired by Metallica, NIN, megadeth and so on. But, the title of the track in E2M4 is. “Their coming to get you” and it made me think of this movie. Granted you do fight zombies in Doom. So, yea and the title is probably or coincidentally inspired by “Their coming to get you Barbara.” Lol That said I love Romero’s work especially Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of The Dead. But , I liked Day of the Dead, Land of The Dead. The Crazies, Bruiser, and other movies her did and the Italian B-Movies of Dario Argento and Fulci that we’re inspired by his films. To the point some were unofficial sequels like The Zombi series. Though... they lose their “their so bad their good quality “ type B-movies after Zombi 2. (I’m my opinion) I’m not a huge fan of zombies cause the genre is cliche now and over saturated. But, I can watch Romero’s films over and over again. And theirs still a few games I like with zombies. But, if Hollywood and indy films would focus on other monster for awhile and have zombies a rest I’d probably be more into the zombie horror genre. But zombies films are a dime a dozen. I’m sure covid-19 will inspire more films or creators trying to get a quick buck though. I’m just waiting to see a film titled Corona Zombies . I could be too late on that but, someone’s gonna do it. Even if some consider it in poor taste cashing in on this pandemic/global tragedy.

The movie got it wrong. Johnny slammed his head against a gravestone, so he should've died right then & there. According to zombie movie logic, once the brain is destroyed, the dead body shouldn't get back up again.

The same could be said about Cemetery Zombie who moves faster and doesn’t consume the dead body of Johnny instead going after Barbara.
