This has to be one of my favorite Vlogs. Every zombie film that has come along since owes it's existence to this movie, the one that started it all. Even though the farmhouse is long gone, it was great seeing the land where it once stood, and must have been cool standing on the spot where they made film history 53 years ago. Good to see Scott along to see this.

I remember seeing this movie in the early 80's. When VHS became more available, or they showed it on the late movie, we watched this movie every Halloween. Thanks for the tour of the filming locations. Very well done as always.

I really enjoyed this Vlog, It sure looked like a lot of fun to be in the Cemetery where they made the great horror movie Night of the Living Dead. I understand how you feel about your Dad. Every time I go to a White Sox game I think of how my Dad used to take me as a little boy.

Good piece. An interesting fact about this movie. For some reason NLD was never registered for copyright or ownership. As a result it was a public domain movie, which can be shown anywhere with no permission, So, sadly little money was made for all involved in the movie.

Back in 2005, and again in 2006, I met the Cemetery Ghoul Bill Hinzman. He was a regular down to earth guy, had his Pennsylvania accent, he was drinking a Snapple Iced tea while we chatted about the movie. I did ask him what one of his favorite Horror was that he wasn't affiliated with.. He told me the Original Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis 1978... Nice guy... The first time I met him, he was in regular street clothes, the 2nd time, he was dressed as the Zombie, looked pretty authentic from the movie with some age.. Another side note....He told me when he broke the car window with the Rock, it flew out of his hand.. The window was harder to break than he anticipated, it was not in the script to let go of the rock... Nice video, thank you!

Gosh Jordon, Thank you so much. Again brilliant research. Great match ups too. So much work & effort goes I too making these episodes. Always fabulous to see our Jah. I noted Jordon that you read Jah's body language perfectly. At the bugging of the episode when you two were in the car, Jah gives his drink bowl a subtle lick. You automatically one he was thirsty. Beautiful. Good to see Scott. Scott is so knowledgeable. Thank you again. Your work is so very much appreciated.

It came out the same year I entered active service in the Army. And ever so often when it pops up on KZread I'll watch it again! It is a great combination of Spook and Humor. Excellent vlog Jordan as usual! I enjoyed seeing where Night Of The Living Dead locations was filmed at. A lot of interesting information that you gave about the film. What George A. Romero did is pretty classic in doing a film because if you know people who want to do a film they will do it. I was offered this Saturday to be in a independent film, but because I was so dead tired from working the night before and I was going through some training for my Conceal Carry I did not do the role in the film.

If I'm not mistaken, the basement scenes were not filmed in a farmhouse. this is quite common. I studied at a stunt school myself and studied acting in courses. and quite often it happened that the outer house was rented and what was happening could be filmed, say, in another place. it would be interesting to see the place where the basement itself was filmed. They showed the building on one channel, but they couldn't get into the basement itself.

This movie was the first and only movie my parents said I couldn’t watch because it would give me nightmares. (I was still in onesies sleepware) They were absolutely right. I had re-occurring nightmares until I saw Dawn of the Dead in 7th grade and started to like the idea of the ultimate weapons for killing zombies. When they killed Glen I had enough of zombie movies.

Is Scott the guy who did the "six degrees of Helter skelter" documentary? The voice off screen sounded like it was definitely him. Saw him in something else recently but can't remember what. I saw notld for the first time when I was like 13 and woke up randomly in the month of September and went downstairs at my parents house and left the lights off. First thing I saw when I turned on the TV was the opening driving scene of notld and I have watched it probably seven trillion times since then. FYI Barbara prays in an incorrect way in the film. The Bible says in 1st Timothy 2:8, Psalm 28, 63, 141 and 143 that ***PRAYING REQUIRES LIFTING OF HANDS TO HEAVEN*** and Psalm 5 and 38 say you ***SHOULD BE FACING THE TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM WHILE PRAYING*** if possible. Love you brother and I really hope I get to go visit this location when I purchase my shuttle bus and convert it into a mobile home. Hope you have an excellent day!!! Thank you for making this video. When you saw the "Pittsburgh" sign on the highway I got really excited. I hope you and I get to meet someday. I guarantee I'm the strangest pastor you'll ever meet. My name is Julian. Christ's REAL NAME is Yeshua of Nazareth FYI. And God's name is YHWH or YAH (Hallelu-YAH means Praise YAH). The letter J wasn't invented until the 1600s. "Whoever calls on the NAME of the Lord shall be saved." + "All men shall be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth." 👍💌🌈✝️💝🌄🕊️❤️❤️❤️

I had heard that the house they used was going to be torn down soon. That allowed them to tear the place up like they did in the film. You can even see a calendar with the year 1966 on it, so it was probably abandoned for those two years.
