It's not accurate. Rods did not jump in the actual event is is exaggerated by the HBO show.

Night of the disaster, It is more accurate due to the 2 explosions, the Chernobyl NPP is accurate to some degree, but only had one explosion.

Dark Legend stole that map from Bmax. Bmax's NPP got stolen and put on the toolbox...

Finally someone that spreads the knowledge! It truly is sad that he didn’t get any credit, considering he made the whole map. Dark Legend only added in some scripts..

Matee1999 is making an even better and much more realistic game that has no rods jumping cause it didn't actually happen

@@willowfilms1437 Well the control rods did jump, but the fuel channel caps are belived to have been pushed up by the steam, as the caps are only around a meter tall. It can be seen in some refueling videos as they remove the channel cap to pull out the control rod. Idk if anyone has a better theory let me know.

@@killstrike5076 If the caps could be lifted, that means steam could easily escape meaning no jumping caps, and no the rods could not have jumped.

@@killstrike5076 Not even those jumped, steam escaped and therefore wouldn’t have any pressure to push then up if it was escaping.

@@tornadicstorm2866 Yea the steam escaped, but the only way where it could escape was up, which pushed the caps because of the giant pressure that built up
