Cyberpunk music is basically 80's electronica music. Almost everything about the 80's, even the fashion is what can be seen as "futuristic". The 80's were way ahead of their time.

it began in 2002 and continues....the love for all things 80's and retro 80's style grows stronger everyday.... in a world gone mad, our songs are what now hold us together.... it matters not if you like Huey Lewis stuff or Michael Jackson or KISS or the synthwave we have nowadays, it's all good, if it's 80's or sounds like it coulda been 80's or 90's for that matter it's cool! hold onto the memories....hold on to the night, I gotta get back in time cus i just died in her arms tonight....hey? wanna Wang Chung tonight? everybody's gonna have fun tonight... if nobody get's that epic reference burst......

Mental Minority's track, "Dystopia Now," and its use of the audio-book script of O'Brien from George Orwell's, 1984, is utterly suburb. This gives me chills and welling feelings of a sad bleak future.

That is hands down the best background I have ever seen in the Synthwave / Cyberpunk Music mixes. Most of the backgrounds just move a little bit then snap back on loop. Very cool.
