    That is not entirely true. Not all slaves in the Caribbean where transported from Africa. Jamaica was not and uninhabited Island when first discovered. There were people already living on the island way before slaves were brought there.

    ***** I am proud of the Africans who were taken away via slavery for keeping their language alive as much as they could. Jamaican Patois has soo many African words. I only found out because I recognised my language in it.     @@somegirl8410 not all of us few jamaicans out there are pure blood a 100 percent, I did my ancestry DNA and I was 89 percent west African on 11 percent European so on I brown skin but both of my parents on very dark skin negroid looking so I am not suprise with 89 percent but I thought it would be more base on how my family looks like a west African tribe
