I am Ethiopian, I wish my people were like Kenyans. They suffer in silence with inflation, lack of job opportunities for the youth, corruption and lack of law and order. I am proud of the Kenyan youth and hope that they can be an example to all Africans to fight for their future.

Our Ethiopian neighbour and friend, I hear you. We started demonstrations during the reign of Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi in 1990. That was the first demonstration. The youthful members of the civil society then, young lawyers, doctors, pastors, teachers, university students e.t.c. did demonstrations to repeal a very bad section our constitution at the time. It was called section 2A. It stated that in Kenya, "THERE SHALL BE ONY ONE POLITICAL PARTY IN KENYA, THE KENYA AFRICAN NATIONAL UNION (KANU). This is the party of independence. If the government didn't like you, they expelled you from KANU and as a result, you couldn't run for office because in order to run for elective office, you had to be sponsored by a political party. The only problem is that there was only one party by law, KANU. So, that is why we fought for multipartyism............to get other parties on which to express ourselves and our ideology...........a party on which to run for office. We fought for the repeal of that law. WE wanted multi partyism (multiple political parties). Those 1990 demostrations became serious on July 7, 1990 which we fondly call SABA SABA. Saba saba literally means seven seven in Kiswhaili. We commemorate it every day. Moi was bad! He was a dictator and had oppressed us for a long time. HE set the police on us, they beat us up. , many were killed but in 1991, Moi acceded to our demand and allwed the repeal of that section and as a result of our persistence, we got multi party democracy. So, my point is that it just didn't come to us. We sought it. We fought for it. We bled for it. We even died for it. We have a very progressive constitution that grants citizens the right to peacefully protest and demostrate. The problem is that sometimes, the government doesn't listen and that is why the young people stormed parliament to stop the passing of that bill .....the Finance Bill .........that is meant to impose punitive taxes on us. That is how KEnya started and that is whey we are where we are. To any AFricans reading this, you have to take matters in your own hands..........the young people between 18 and 35 or thereabout. Seize the moment. It'll be tough and rough but in the end, all will work out. To the guy who made this video, the Nigerian guy, we thank you as KEnyans. Thanks for passing along the message of liberation. Sorry guys, I know I wrote too much. I just wanted to put across something. Peace!

As a Kenyan, I must say you think like a Kenyan. You could be a great leader. As a gen x myself, we really had to change our prejudices against ethnicity, tribalism, nationality etc. Gen z are our children. We taught them well. There is also #occupy churches. We are demanding that politicians no longer go in to churches to make speeches. That is another grievance we have along with the atrocious tax bill. God bless you, and please pray for us! We ask Africa to pray for us because it is a big task we’ve undertaken.

It's also a point made by an interviewee from Tanzania this week that his countrymen also want to just hear or watch music or football, instead of political policies that affect them on a daily basis, instead of being informed like the Kenyan general population.

@@t0n0k0 I think that Kenya's education sector is the best in Africa. Every Kenyan graduate comes out as a professional. You can hear when they speak and you can observe when they make decisions. In Nigeria and other Afro countries, we're happy churning out half-baked graduates who cannot articulate their position on anything

Having come across our brothers and sisters from Nigeria. I can contribute to your argument. Nigerian problems are many, first their ego, they think they know it all and do not listen to anyone. But when they listen and feel they are about to lose an argument they result to insults attacking the person instead the argument/ idea.

As a Nigerian, They do that to me also, just because I have a different point of view. I think the problem is exposure. Most Nigerians have never been exposed to people from other places, they have been baked in an eco system where religion has been used to shape their world view, that's why majority of them think and believe that only God can save Nigeria. Madness indeed

I had a previous channel where I told Nigerians how their government in conjunction with religious leaders have let them down. I guess it was too much for them, they abused me and called me all sorts of names. As a Nigerian, I can tell you we are a difficult and stubborn people to convince. The only time Nigerians listen to you is when you talk to them with a Bible or a Quaran in your hands and/or with money in your pocket. We worship money and religious messiahs.
