NIGERIA vs JAMAICA | PIDGIN vs PATOIS | TAG ft. NACHO & FRANCELLA BELLA

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

⭐️ My Nigerian friend and I decided to teach each other some words or phrases in our country's dialects. It was fun to learn some pidgin words and to share some patois.
Nigerian Pidgin is an English-based contact language that developed as a result of European contact with West African languages.
Jamaican Creole is the result of mixture of various African languages, English, and other European tongues.
I hope you guys will enjoy this video.
⭐️ Other languages mentioned - Yoruba
Yoruba is a language spoken in West Africa, most prominently Southwestern Nigeria.

Are we just going to ignore how similar both languages are? If there was ever a doubt where our 🇯🇲 ancestors are from.

@@CommonlyKnowledgeable Well technically “A pidgin, or pidgin language, is a grammatically simplified means of communication that develops between two or more groups of people that do not have a language in common: typically, its vocabulary and grammar are limited and often drawn from several languages….” Patois was born from such a situation..…It was created by slaves who were taken from different parts of West Africa..with different languages/tongues. They had to create a common “language”…. From several languages.
