A footage claiming the sand dune mountain without a skateboard for roller coaster slides is not Fun.

So much cultural beauty in such a harsh environment.

I'm sure the Tuareg are making the ''really old'' swords today. They are no fools :) If the chap with the infected hand doesn't get decent antibiotics, he could be in dire trouble.... looked so painful.

One of the best recent channels I've discovered! I subscribed ASAP! Netflix has very few of these kinds of documentaries. The wealth of knowledge in every video is astounding!

Pleasant to discover the nomadic history of African diverse cultural heritage. This remind me of current Russian Ukraine conflict. The impact of this war maims this group Elite ready out of possible invasion of vast dessert land invasion and are properly deemed as potential terrorist before policies that doesn't favour them take effect. The part of these vast lands belonging to this tribes are often protected under the UNESCO Heritage protection. President Putin should stop these barbaric war in Ukraine before allies to President Putin, not necessary Russia, based on political interest engages in a relatively counteroffensive intrusion on the continent of Africa.

This documentary was amazing I hope one day I can travel the world and have some of these experiences myself. With the places, the people, and the different cultures. There all so unique and beautiful. It truly is fascinating indeed.

Starting at18:40the desert guide's song is so peaceful and haunting. Though he says they're about battle, I think this 1 is about peace and love. ☮✌🏼

Just saw this today. Arrived via Mdou Moctar, "Tala Tannam". Brilliant shot of the caravan over the horizon, just after the equally brilliant capture of spontaneous human reaction from your fellow travelers to your downhill dune endeavor. Excellent Job! Thank You.

You'd think so, but not in the Sahara. If it's for sale then it's on offer. Everybody just grabs a taste then decides what it's worth to them, then you try to see how close you and the seller can get to an agreeable price.

Driving in the scotching dessert with Jeep should be well prepared by ensuing that you have spare brown new tyres and " Front Wheels Tyre chains" to prevent puncture or deflated tyres. I thought you might sprinkle some water on the tyres to moisture the hot sand. Nice to see you guys on the way before sunset catches up.

I'm appalled the host would feel entitled to dig his dirty hands into a seller's merchandise 3:00! You're a visitor to their stall, respect other's property/personal space.

@@cleareyedliar I was raised to respect all cultures and beliefs. I was also taught that "ululation" was an expression of strong emotion, alot of times grief like losing a loved one I figured that was misinterpreted as celebrating someone's death as far as the media goes

"Men like these." Well, they don't seem that different than men anywhere. They worry about their family, they love their kids, they want respect and are offended when it isn't given. Sure they dress differently, they have a different culture (that isn't *THAT* different. All of these differences are really just superficial. If you deal with them honestly and give the respect you would give anyone else and they will become your friend. Disrespect one... Well, just hope you can run a long way really fast, with no water.

pretty much, cultures can differ violently, some not even operating in the same century by all empiric measure... but base motivations are remarkably universal. Keep your wits and respect the former.. till you tap into the latter. Friends can be anywhere, but never jump past the former.

Now, point to where I said I thought everything was perfectly safe? Can't find it? That's because I didn't say it. Why not drop the racist attitude? @Caitlin Dent My original point was that people are not different. Your comment seemed extremely racist, because it implies *ALL* of them kidnap (take hostages) and rob people. I do agree with you on one point. This conversation is not worth having. Most people on the internet will double down rather than admit they were wrong and you are doing exactly that. You misunderstood my point, which is a perfectly reasonable mistake, especially as I'm on the "spectrum" and I'm not very good at expressing myself. (Note: I am admitting that your failure to understand may have been my fault, not yours). At the same time, I often misunderstand others. Do you think these people don't have the same emotions as you have? Do you think they respond to respect or disrespect differently than you would? Sure, they might take different actions, but they have the same emotional responses that we do.

Adams' commentary really doesn't stand up to scrutiny. When questioned about some of the documentary's content he was quite defensive.

@@wewenang5167not there land they are hlfbred half berber and west African the land in question belongs to west africans our ancestors originated in the sahara when it was green the berbers chased our ancestors further south there’s evidence of our existence in north Africa and the sahel they weren’t invaded they are minority there the area belongs to the songhai,peulh and other west African cultural groups that’s why niger is considered west African the berbers try to steal it like they did mauritania from the soninke
