Seems a lot of people are struggling to read a very short comment within the context of even a very short video. She listed British values, one of which was mutual tolerance and respect for people with different faiths/beliefs. That means, in simple terms, "leave other people alone if you cant get on". What it does not mean (which she implies), is "let those people change the core values"(including mutual tolerance and respect for others, as well as other things she listed that British society values) in the pursuit of creating a nation that follows their dogmatic and oppressive religious laws and rules.

We are a tiny island we are bursting at the seems. All of our services are broken, NHS housing, schools, doctors, dentists. Do you think it's fair people walk in get everything for nothing, no appreciation whatsoever, I've got friends who work 4 jobs between them and 3 kids and there struggling. We spend 7 million a day on 4 and 5 star hotels then house them before our own people who have been waiting for 6 years. I've experienced all of this. ​@@Mgameing123 Probably because they have discarded aspects of their religion to partake in Western culture. You can be British in two ways - being ethnically English, Scottish, Welsh or Northern Irish (white) - OR you can be a foreign ethnicity but born into British culture, which shapes your psychological development and worldview. You cannot be a 'British muslim' - it's an oxymoron. Those are two cultures which are in complete opposition of eachother. It's like saying I'm a 'chav goth' - you can borrow from both, sure, but you have to sacrifice parts of one to partake in parts of the other. If you are not ethnically British (example: Pakistani), and you are not culturally British (example: islamic) - then you are not British at all.

I think it's absolutely fine not to tolerate people who dont tolerate the people and religions of a country they've moved to.

The King, the head of state is the head of the Church. Not a mosque, not a synagogue, not a temple, but a Christian Church of England. The King is very tolerant, wise and peaceful. There is freedom of religion in the U.K. which is very democratic and much more tolerant than other countries in the world. Yet, England and the U.K. as a whole are by definition Christian.

His latest party is a private company. He made his money in the city and benefitted from thatcher’s liberalisation of it. He’s never been in a position of real power to make his “policies” work. Genuine question from a Kiwi on the other side of the globe: I always hear people saying the UK if now full of immigrants who are taking over and the whole country has gone down the toilet right. However, I've never seen a single example of exactly why they are saying this and what is happening with this latest batch of asylum seekers that is so bad. Can someone please enlighten me?

England desperately needs to follow in Polands foot steps. They've quickly become the best country in Europe and they don't accept things that would harm their culture so why should we?

In fairness - Brexit is equally as bad as remaining in the EU in its current form. People are right to criticise both. The only issue with the EU (that isn't already a structural problem within each member nation; including the UK - just see how we still don't have 'control' even though we are now a sovereign nation) is that the people in EU positions of power are not democratically elected by - nor do they answer to - the people of Europe. And so they make decisions from their ivory tower with little backlash (which instead gets directed to each member nations government and politicians by their own people). The most effective answer to all of this is neither Brexit OR continuing the EU in its current form; but instead forming a Europa Superstate. Where the borders of Europe are protected as a whole, our military is unified, and we collectively elect a Superintendent/President who NEEDS the support of the majority of Europe, alongside our regional PM's/Chancellors/Presidents. This also allows us a wider option for voting-in candidates and gives Europeans more freedom to choose and get better results - don't like any of the UK candidate stances on immigration for Superintendency/Presidency? Vote for the Polish or Italian candidate. It would create a system where politicians actually have to compete for favour of the general European population - as well as ensuring that Europe remains a wealthy, powerful, and relevant player on the world stage; with a substantial pool of tax money to invest in infrastructure like high speed rail, industry, and projects that would not be viable without big government (ie. nuclear projects, and space programmes). Unfortunately, Europeans are intent on competing with eachother when our competition should be the United States and China. Otherise we will ALL continue to be small and irrelevant individual satellites of the US - with no industrial or technological sovereignty. They will choose our allies and enemies for us - and in the event that the US triggers a trade war on us for some unforseen reason, our entire society would come crashing down. Europe does not even have its own mobile phone as one example - the technology that has become essential for daily life, and holds all of our private information. The only thing Europe is really contributing to the 21st century is luxury vehicles and luxury goods. What is also sad is that Brexiteers cannot extend their patriotism past Britain. Yet when we see the French, or the Germans, or the Italians, or the Polish speak up against unsustainable immigration they become 'brothers'. That's how it SHOULD be. Be proud of London, be proud of Paris, be proud of Berlin, be proud of Rome, be proud of Warsaw and Athens and Sofia. We SHOULD be united, and if you travel Europe you will actually discover that we are all very similar besides language, food, and music (which is becoming less so actually, thanks to our daily obsession with the US).

Shortened into bullet points: - Europe is America's lapdog - Europe lacks unification of military and industry and cannot compete with global giants as individual states - Europe produces little of merit outside of luxury vehicles and luxury goods - Europe needs to protect its continental border - by the time we protect our individual regional borders, the problem is already too late - Europe could be electing leaders from neighbouring members to lead the continent (who they like far more), but are instead stuck with their regional candidates that none of the voters feel passionately about, and there is very little pressure for them to compete for ideas and votes (little variety, little choice, little democracy, little movement) - Europeans claiming that patriotism is their reason for being anti-Europe, are in fact just American patriots who have no right, power, or connection to United States outside of swallowing its media - and will doom us all to a life of irrelevant servitude - when the United States has proved relentlessly that they are a bad global and social leader. Also they are fan-girling a collection of states, while saying we should not have our own and holding the continent back from advancing.

WRONG🙄 What happened in Northern Ireland was not religious. The key issue was the status of Northern Ireland. Unionists and loyalists, who for historical reasons were mostly Ulster Protestants, wanted Northern Ireland to remain within the United Kingdom. Irish nationalists and republicans, who were mostly Irish Catholics, wanted Northern Ireland to leave.

So, this is the guy who told us Brexit would rid us of migrants? Our local hospital had a recruitment drive in India after losing so many EU workers; the number of people in boats has massively increased; we’ve become more multi-cultural since Brexit, and our so-called independence from the EU has given us none of the economic benefits Farage predicted. And you still believe he’s got something to offer this country? This is about his ego, not about improving the country.

What he is saying is that he has no idea about Northern Ireland and never bothered to do any research. Most young people know that Northern Ireland was about human rights more than religion. We, the British, turned it into a religious war as a cover for the way that the Irish were treated. The Irish just wanted the right to vote and equal rights

As I see it, the problem is that no one else wants to have people immigrating from war torn countries to theirs, they come and seek our benefits, our lives but what happens when our population is so overloaded with so many different cultures and values? Ours becomes forgotten, foreign parties take control and enforce their values on us and then it becomes an all out war between many religions and cultures. I personally wouldn’t like to see a future like that. It’s scary to me. It’s never easy to word this, but a country as small as the UK can’t keep taking people in, there’s a TON of ramifications and it causes more houses to be built losing us our fields and farmers and more importantly our food sources and causing floods. I don’t support any party myself but challenge that if you can 😂
