Hey are there holidays for special occasions like onam,etc? Can hostel students visit their home those days ?

Yes, there are national holidays, and the college will give you a list of that.
When do classes start for 2024 batch?

I personally use a dell(Vostro) laptop WITH A GRAPHIC CARD, it's pretty good but I also had to take an Ipad for my illustrations. I have a friend who has HP pavilion, and it has a touch screen so it is really good for illustrations. So if you are planning on taking just a laptop and not a laptop+Ipad, then that is a good option you can go for. Also, I would suggest you buy it on sale, like for independence day sale or diwali sale, until then you can be more specific on what exactly you wanna buy (talk to your seniors!) and you always have a computer lab in the college to work on!

Yes, there are a lot of flats near campus itself. But you need to check it out after going to kannur only.
