when they say it happens in the same world as replicant and automata they don’t necessarily mean it happens in the same timeline there are millions of different branches all analysed by accord my theory is that all the stories do come from the same world (or not actually, since the cage stores stories from the worlds of drakengard and ffxiv), but in drastically different timelines

Maybe so, however Leon, Dimos, Gayle, and Noelle all seem to come from the main Automata timeline since we actually see them interact with each other across the memories. Argo, Akeha, Lars, and Griff are ordinary enough that they could come from any timeline really. The best candidates for alternate timelines I'd say personally is the Couple in White who fight the giant plant monsters

is fio from drakengard??? like she's from a village run by stuffy nobles who mistreat the lower class! nothing like Nier... but very much like Drakengard... that'd be pretty cool now that I'm thinking about it.

Just what I was looking for! I watched both of your videos explaining the game's story so far, thanks a lot! Man, there's a lot going on, I'm actually very sad that the game has potential to be something incredible, but (at least for me), the gameplay is beyond atrocious. I played it religiously for a few months and even managed to get on the top 100 at "pvp"...but got bored. I hope you keep playing it, I really want to see where the story moves now. Keep it up!

I thought Fio died, and her being in the cage longer than she should means that her soul has no where else to go. So when her body was changed back into a human, and turned into something else with the monster, they have both finally been put to rest. it's still sad, and there's no way she would survive in her situation given that she should be treated cruelly.

thank you for doing this. When watching the stories laid out one after another puts things into perspective. I think you should take a look at some of the EX stories. They shed light on the characters in some unique ways.

To be honest, I don't think the Cage is a program at all. After all, in Ch 3 of Sun and Moon, there are records of people going into the Cage. They could just be from the Scarecrows though, like Fio, Levania, Akeha in that drama recital, etc. However, in the World of Nier lore summary released on the Nier Re[in] Twitter they say it's in "[YEAR REDACTED]" and "Information on the precise location and temporal axis of this space, now known as the Cage, is not made public." Also, are you SURE the house Noelle sees is Gayle's? I honestly can't see Gayle and friend's stories taking place in the Nier universe. They seem to be kinda ww1 inspired, but that doesn't line up with the Nier universe at all. If they're humans, it'd have to take place before 2003, but DoD's ending E seems to imply it's the real world, so that's not possible. I don't think they could be replicants, since their settlements seem to be pretty small, and I don't think Devola and Popola would let things get that out of control. And they deffinetly couldn't be androids, because then clockwork solders would be irrelevant. It just doesn't fit. Overall, sick video. I'm glad to see people talking about the lore of this game, since it's so underapreciated.

Yeah, I think I will. Now that the game has concluded and no one new will be able to play, I'd like to fully summarize everything so it might actually be 4 or more parts.
