I can't put my sadness for 9S in words. He didn't want to eliminate the virus in him because if he did so, all of the memories about 2B will disappear. Yet, he still lost all of them in the end.

Hanae Natsuki's performace as 9S always struck something in my heart. Roles similar to him is one of the reasons why he's my favorite seiyuu

The english version of 9S dying was heartbreaking enough but the japanese dub just made me cry

Don't be sad. They made their choice. They knew what it would mean. I'm sure most of them would be happy to know that their data helped someone clear, even if it was just for the sake of a video.

God I love the Japanese dub. Even at 1:47, the way 9S interrupts A2 is executed way better than the English dub. BUT that's just me being picky. The English dub is superb. I think it's just a matter of preference. Personally, I love the emotion conveyed here and just in general of how the Japanese language sounds.

I realized how garbage the English version was by comparing father servo's final fight. 9s sounds like a brat in English.

Honestly I like the lines they had before the fight in English - _"Pod, I order you to halt all logical thought and speech!"_ - but damn 9S screaming in Japanese was SO horrible (in a good way). He truly sounded like a dying animal, good god.

In an interview for Japanese VAs in this game, 9S actor Natsuki Hanae really does rolling on the floor when acting for this scene for the most realistic capture.

After all these years, this game is still a master piece... it made me cry again :( It's beautiful.

Best ending in video game Ive ever experienced...it's just so tragic. Makes you think what really matters in life.

Why I feel much more emotions in Japanese version of Pod 042? I don't feel that way in English version.

Yes, these Pods have learned about emotion through their journey with 2B, 9S and A2. Both 042 and 153. They change their roles from "monitor" to "look after". Even go as far as sacrifice themselves to regain the memories of them.

When you think about it, isn't it kind of an asshole move of the pods to revive A2? She was longing for the opportunity to rejoin her squadron from the very start, and finally got the chance to do so willingly in ending C, but then some a-hole pod goes and yanks that choice away from her like a carpet from beneath her feet.

I think it sounds like a stretch to assume she would drop her life-long wish just because she had a revelation about how beautiful the world is.

Man, if 9s had more charisma and a more convincing voice acting (instead of the usual japanese cheese), that would make the game much better. But he is such a annoying character, there is not a single moment in the entire game that I actually cheered for him or anything. Maybe that was deliberate, idk, but it was always a torture to play with this character (the hacking... fuck the hacking minigame)

Sadly for you he is the character whit more screen time in the main story, but for 9s stans like me that's actually pretty good, in relation to haking i only used it like a special atack, most of the time i just chopped the enemies whit the sword
