Nicole Mary Kidman (born June 20, 1967) is an American actress. He is also a producer, and he is among Time magazine's 100 most influential people.
Kidman's career began in the 1980s, and in 1995 she was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Musical or Comedy. In 2001, Kidman was nominated for her first Academy Award for Best Actress for the film "Moulin Rouge!", which also won her her second Golden Globe for the same category.
The following year, Kidman won a surprising Academy Award for Best Actress for her role as Virginia Woolf in the film "The Hours". This win was equated with her third Golden Globe win for Best Actress - Motion Picture Drama and BAFTA for Best Actress.
Kidman has been ambassador to UNICEF since 1994 and to UNIFEM since 2006. In 2006, he was appointed Companion of the Order of Australia. Since his birth to Australian parents in Hawaii, Kidman has dual Australian and American citizenship.
