You have to give this woman made great movies from 1995-2005 and that's oustanding. I remember Robert Benson mentioning she made the difficult roles in the beggining of the 2000. To Die for, Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge, The Hours, The Others,The Human Stain,Dogville, Birth, The Birthday girl, The Paperboy,The Beguield, The Killing of the sacred Deer, Being the Ricardos. I haven't seen much of Nicole Kidman, but what I have seen is quite wonderful. I just saw "Lion" for the second time on PBS and was quite amazed at the story and how well Nicole portrayed the adoptive mum of this lost little Indian boy and supported him as he searched on google earth for his town and family. I will try to catch more of the films cited here to see this marvelous actress. btw: 56 years old and she has the face and body of a model. Don't we all wish we could do that.

I love Nicole to bits, especially in Dogville, To Die For, The Hours, and The Others. Nicole is a brilliant actress without a doubt. But I'm not sure about the AFI giving the Lifetime Achievement Award when a lot of great artists before her have not received any- Francis Ford Coppola, Jodie Foster, Daniel Day Lewis, Anthony Hopkins, Gary Oldman, Christopher Nolan, Quentin Tarantino, Sylvester Stallone, David Fincher, David Lynch, Frances McDormand, Robert Duvall, Michael Caine, Jeff Bridges, Tim Robbins, Glenn Close, Susan Sarandon, Jessica Lange, Michael Sheen, Kurt Russell, Kevin Costner, Glenn Close, Brad Pitt, James Cameron, Johnny Depp, John Carpenter, Joel Coen, to name a few.

I think it would have been well deserved 10 years from now. Tom Cruise should have been awarded way before her.

When can we watch this magnificent ceremony in this entirety?

I am one and at 71 yrs old, oI don't have any wrinkles, not even crows feet round my eyes, but, I know I am ageing beautifully and love! I am a happy smiling person unlike your scowling envious WRINKLY self, HAPPY HATER!!

I adore her but my god, what she has done to her beautiful face? She's also painfully thin. I just see a deeply self-conscious woman terrified of ageing. That'd a shame, because she has always been a natural beauty, but Hollywood really does a number on them. Still, it's lovely to see her long, extraordinary body of work honored this way.

Amazing actress but too much work on her face. She shows no emotions anymore and that's sad!

Boring

She was very distracting in the last show I watched The Lioness because of all the work she has done. It took you out of the show like geez what has she done to her face. At some point hollywood needs to draw the line at picking actors who you can clearly see had extensive botox/plastic surgery or even veneers. None of it looks real and it takes away from being submerged into the film/show
