Nico (18) was still the third fastest 200m runner in Switzerland in 2021. He injured his right ankle during training, but instead of the body starting the healing process, the opposite happened and a complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) developed. During the operation, the second misfortune occurred when an infection developed at the pain catheter site. This course of events brought the healthy, fit young man into a wheelchair in a very short time, as the "healthy" side was also affected by the course of the disease.
A Million Dreams surprised Nico during a training session with his LC Brühl colleagues and fulfilled his dream with a special visit to Weltklasse Zürich, including a meet & greet at the exclusive athlete lunch.
