I agree with you. The reason that is is because he does conscious rap. Like your skills will get overlooked if most of your discography isn't conscious rap. People like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Big Sean, A$AP Rocky, etc are not looked up at like J Cole or Kendrick Lamar although they are in the same tier as them. Or even the newer generation. Compare Cordae to Ski Mask The Slump God. People will be quick to say Cordae is better because he does conscious rap when in actuality it's Ski Mask The Slump God when it comes to skill. It's understandable and what is what it is.
