I got the vacuum and I still wear a mask because it’s important to me. Because I care about my immunocompromised sister who is also my roommate and my son who is too young for the vacuum. I did wait to get it, but I literally did do a lot of reading and noticed that they had been working on this for years as it’s in the SARS family. It may not have been that specific strain, but it was something they were working on finding a solution for. Once I read more, I felt comfortable with getting it and if I got side effects, I was okay with that as well because the benefits outweighed the risk for me (get covid and possibly die because I do have a preexisting condition or be sluggish and have a sore arm). I know it’s not a cure like some anti-vacuum folks are claiming others have called it (no one ever said that though), but it’s definitely better than the possibility of getting the virus and possibly never fully recovering from it. I think we should all decide if something is right for us, but at least try to do our part with keeping the spread of this thing limited! That’s what I’m afraid of: those who don’t want the vacuum but also don’t want to mask up to at least help with staving off the spread, especially with the mutations coming about now. I just wish it was never politicized to begin with. That has hurt this country tremendously.

Actually it’s been decades. They have been working on the mRNA vaccine. People are talking about research, the best research we can do is ask question to doctors and scientists or read what they say. If everyone was privileged to medical Information or understood medical formulas we would all be doctors. I do get hesitancy though. It could be years before we know any extra data.

Actually the CDC director Dr Fauci is on trial for funding the Wuhan scientist $8 million to combine SARS With this bat virus so that humans can now catch it. Because before we humans could not catch this bat virus. It was successful and released into the public. I have met many veterans in my line of work and a lot of them said they received the shot back in 2008 because the military is given all vaccines before the germ is RELEASED to the public.

I am skeptical that your soldier “buddies” know what they are talking about. And am skeptical of the idea it could have been purposefully released. But humoring you though: If this pandemic was brought on by a leak of some kind- from some lab, that would still mean the virus is real. Like how nuclear waste polluting the water supply would still be nuclear waste even if leaked from a plant nearby bc of human fault. Or how the oil polluting the ocean is still real even if the leak or burst from an oil rig was brought on by human/company error. That means even if you are right: there’s still a virus, thats real, running around killing people. It doesn’t prove what you think. That means this is more a conversation of liability. Money. Whose gonna foot the bill? The same way that companies snd investors scramble to blame anyone but themselves or avoid liability, that would be this if your hypothetical were correct. Couldn’t agree more. Informed individuals do not doubt the validity of natural immunity - it’s how long does that last. And just because your body effectively fought off the earlier variants, doesn’t mean it would be as effective with delta or future strains as long as the virus continues to rapidly spread and their antibodies fade (same as vaccine induced antibodies). Much less supporting that people should take their chances for natural immunity and just hope that they wouldn’t have complications with covid. More people are having serious illness, long haul covid or death than people having serious side effects from the vaccines. What I support for those with vaccine hesitancy is that they speak to medical doctors - whether their own, ones provided through clinics, etc. Ask all your questions, but ask them to the people that are equipped to answer them and contextualize it for your own individual health status/needs.

Wow, never realized I needed this video in my life. I work with rare genetic diseases and immediately got the “vacuum” back in Jan just because I was familiar with the data surrounding this breakthrough. A lot of my medical friends received the vacuum while some of my close family/friends still have not. I go between wanting the best for their health but also understanding and honoring their distrust of medicine. It’s truly never been on our side as minorities and even to this day science is still fucking up. Which is why I got into the field in the first place. Black women in STEM is where it’s at. All this to say, I’ve read medical Apartheid and you gut punched me with a large dose of truth at my rare left side mentality of “trust this one, it’s not like all the rest of the horrible ish we have done to minorities in America” just because I understand the mechanics and some of the reasons as to why ppl are saying they distrust it don’t make any sense. You also stated this and I feel similarly. I think minority individuals especially black Americans, and honestly anyone should do their own CREDITABLE research on anything they inject or put into their bodies and we shouldn’t damn them for wanting more time/ asking questions to begin with. The scientific method is all about questioning, creating a hypothesis, testing and seeing if it actually works and then going back and revisiting or literally changing your initial hypothesis. The data behind the vacuum is changing so frequently. Researchers are doing their best and so is the public. I just hate the misinformation being spread about. Thanks again!

The problem with the "natural immunity" argument is that there is no way to know that "natural immunity" due to a variant alpha infection will convey immunity for variant delta, lamba, mu etc. You're not immune to all the yearly variants of the flu because you got the one of them last year, are you? The difference with the mRNA vacuums is at least is that they are based on the part of the virus that does not mutate, so they should ensure a level of immunity against all variants (and that has proven to be the case). The people who choose to wait for "natural immunity" are just petri dishes for future variants.

  • @FitChickGlows

Actually, the spikes that the mRNA is based on do mutate somewhat. Alpha's spike protein is slightly different than Delta's that's why Delta can attach faster and better to our cells than the Alpha variant. That's why in future mRNA's they will be coding for the newer variants spikes. And, yes, people who have "natural" immunity is not lasting and I've seen MANY online who have gotten infected a second time. And the problem with getting infected is the fact that you're letting the virus transmit and the more transmission, the more it has a chance to mutate to another variant. The only way to stop this is to suppress transmission.

Science is about inquiry, which is why we don’t practice humorism anymore and scientist like John Snow had to prove themselves against the scientific community of the time to understand a disease like Cholera. However, this is not about science anymore, it’s all politics. There cannot be an truthful conversation as long as pseudoscience still runs rampant and accepted as truth on social media, and as long as it is highly political. I completely understand if black people hesitate to vaccinate, particularly due to the history of experimentation of this country on minorities. However, let’s remember what demographics were the most affected by COVID. Also, the first world had access to vaccines first while other countries in the second world had to wait and rely solely on herd immunity. If that does not reek of privilege then I don’t know what it is. I have asthma, so whenever I hear about heard immunity I can’t help but feel that people just don’t care if I end up in emergency care to be quite frank, or those who are immune compromised. I spent many days in the hospital last year for other unrelated conditions and believe me when I say I don’t want to come back, if it can be avoided. I understand if others are hesitant or scared to be vaccinated, however those who have large number of followers do have a responsibility to the very least not spread misinformation.

Yes, I completely agree with you. Does that vaccination campaign feel madated just as much if not more by political issues as it is by science? It does and for a good reason; because every single policy we’ve had so far was primarily to reduce the number of people hospitalized (before its impacts on the economy at large). Numerous studies have shown that vaccinated people have very little risk of being hospitalized, leaving more hospital beds open for everyone else who need them. To each their own, but the "hesitancy makes sense/is okay" argument, to me, only holds up in a vacuum, not in the context of having lived without treatment, watching people die by the thousands, daily, just in our own country, for over a year. And that's not even getting to the point of how the larger impact of getting the jab yourself is to your community rather than your own personal safety. It's looking back a year and a half at how bad shit's been, then saying "mmmm I dunno..." when people who know the shit better than you say you can help stop it by taking a couple jabs to the arm. So, generally I don't go that route, I have never gotten flu shot despite strong pressure and have avoided travel to places that required additional vacuums. That said, I'm not anti. I've made sure my child got limited vacuums on a 'delayed' schedule with her doctor, with no issues. Declined vitamin k and hep B shots FRESH out the womb and the gardasil when my child was still in elementary. PLENTY of folks have been hesitant y'all just never heard of it, bc 1. social media wasn't as prolific 2. even when the concerns make mainstream attention, folks are treated as raving lunatics and dismissed by the medical establishment. I also mask up everywhere, still 'eat in', work from home, don't travel or do social events indoors... There are people other than you who have issues when you decide not to get yourself or your child vaccinated. Or when you decide to delay them or whatever. The efficacy of the above protection is something like 70-90% depending on what vaccine you get. Waiting and seeing what happens means you don't get the above, and that the virus gets to run rampant in your body until your immune system can figure out how to get it out. 0% extra protection. And in the meantime, you could get sick, end up in the hospital, and then recover, develop long covid, or die. "Ohhhh but we don't knowww"

One of the major issues I’ve seen in Australia (I can’t speak to whether it’s also an issue in the US, but I wouldn’t be surprised), is a truly atrocious lack of communication. The only people I know who know that some form of Rona vacuum has been in the works for over 15 years, are the ones who are already following scientists on social media. Or who are scientists themselves and already understand the mechanics of how vacuums work. But that’s not most people. All most people know is that the vacuum is new. School never bothered to teach the exact way that vacuums work. Or that vacuums can’t cause new long term side effects because they’re gone from the system in three days at the latest- you either get a side effect then, or you never do. I don’t blame them for having questions. Most people don’t know how vacuums are invented, what sort of research is behind them, what sort of testing they have, or that the only things that hold back other new vacuums in development is a lack of funds and not enough cooperation with other scientists internationally. But this vacuum didn’t have to deal with that. It also easy had a very large head start, and was able to be finished quickly because governments threw all of the money at it. What it shows is how slow the process usually is, and that it doesn’t need to be. But you’re not going to have pollies coming out and saying that, even if it would get more people to do it, because it makes them look bad. Then you’ve got all the other issues with the trustworthiness of politicians (never good at the best of times), and the fact that even in a pandemic, Australian politicians made sure they’d profit- the reason our PM pushed AZ so hard is that his wife and other MPs have connections and shares in AZ’s parent company. So I definitely get people being distrustful. It makes perfect sense. And that’s in Australia, among mostly wyt people. Indigenous Australians are stuck between also having been experimented on, and having been denied proper medical care for generations. And the Indigenous Australians I know also feel pretty similarly to many Black Americans. Pit all of that together, and it’s a mess.

This. There are charts showing all of the legalized bribery of public officials, and the stock holdings of public officials, including JB. The most shameful aspect has been countries being told not to accept vaccine charity from Russio or China, but to hold out for the profit-grabbing mRNA ones that were allowed to be patented for profit. People could die because of this horrible advice. The mRNA technology should have been funded all over the world ans was not.

I realise we are all getting exhausted, but there are many reasons, experiences and thought processes behind the hesitancy that don’t just boil down to fear and discrimination, particularly when you consider that another one of the defined hesitant groups are the PhD science educated (I’m not at that level of education myself and am trying to learn about their views as it differs to my own). My concern is more that we are replacing true understanding, for a false sense of one. The restrictions brought about by the pandemic response has made it so much harder to have that connection to our communities, and to have those discussions that facilitated understanding. I find that it is very easy for people to say “ I understand, but...”, however, whenever I look to history, that was the mentality that proceeded many atrocities, all of which were considered for a good cause during their time. Empathy itself is extremely difficult to get right at the best of times, let alone when we are all this mentally and physically depleted. It is there to facilitate understanding and connection, particularly when others have difficulties in communication, and definitely not to ensure outcomes in our favour.

I completely think you’re argument is well thought out and valid in not attacking people who have questions as it also doesn’t make anyone receptive to listening to your argument. you’re right that it doesn’t help the situation to attack those people, however in this instance, what I think makes people freak out when someone like Nicki specifically questions the vaccine; is that on the side of republicans, they take it as an endorsement of their views. The thesis of being “antivax” was established by a man who was a straight up corrupt criminal and the movement gains credence as more public figures appear to support it. Personally I just wish Nicki hadn’t said anything at all she can have her hesitations and her questions, but her tweeting them publicly when she has ride or die fans that hang on her every word, and embolden asshats like tucker Carlson to say to his following that Nicki Minaj is being attacked for being antivax continues to put people on the fence in harms way. The fact is that we currently have enough evidence to support that this vaccine saves lives, and for now if people are hesitant of it they can wait, but public figures have a responsibility to be more careful with the movements they give credence to even accidentally.

I completely get having a hesitancy-when I first heard about it, I was hesitant too, simply because of the short amount of time in which it was synthesized. Wanting to wait until more data has been shown is a logical, scientifically-grounded response. But as things have gotten progressively worse with Miss Rona and the data on who gets mild cold symptoms versus who dies are pretty much a dice roll, I knew I needed to protect my family and friends (I have several who are immunocompromised). I’m also caring for children who are too young to be vaccinated. The problem with anti-vacuumers is that they are also usually anti-maskers, which means a lot of us with jobs where we’re required to work in a social setting can’t wait to see more long-term effects of the vacuum without risking having a visit from Miss Rona because Karen and Steve think it’s a hoax and refuse to do something as simple as put a piece of cloth over their faces or stay the hell home. Body autonomy can coexist with scientific mindset; but when people are out here literally comparing wearing a mask in Target to concentration camps, that’s when I think people are just fucking stupid.

Also, realizing that this is the historical way out of this mess we're in and given the fact that most people plugging up the hospitals causing collateral damage to others not being able to receive needed treatment is mostly the unvacuumed, it begs to reason that getting vacuumed is most probably the better choice. It also allows business to resume safely and travel to resume safely. Basically it allows for the health and safety and economy to get on with it. When boosters come into effect over here in Canada I'm going to take it too OR get the 3rd dose (but waiting more like 8 months out before I get it) as I'm immune compromised. Even the right wing ones who are “ anti vax “ so for me it’s like if your telling us to not get it yet YOU are vaccinated then what dose that say about your intentions “ also I feel like the reason why many of us sort of roll our eyes with the “ I need more time I need more research “ is because these ppl trust doctors with every other issue if thier sick if they need care they go to the doctor or the hospital these are the people telling us that the vaccine is safe and now we won’t listen to them ? But we trust them in every other aspect of our lives and if we were to get sick from covid we would run to them to help us The reality is heath care workers are deep in the shits right now lemme tell my own cousin story for a sec My cousin was also vacuum hesitant and she ended up getting covid and she had it bad she barley survived and it’s been weeks and she’s still having trouble breathing and has trouble walking but they still had to send her home when she had it cause the hospital didn’t have enough beds and they needed the space that’s how many covid patients are in the hospitals I agree that qualified immunity IS somthing to look into but it’s a double edged sword yes millions of ppl have had it and not died but many of those ppl also still have lasting effects from covid a lot of ppl will NEVER be the same after getting it so you have to ask your self IS THAT RISK worth it to me it wasn’t worth it so I got vaccinated I know I can still get covid but I also know that I’ve done every thing I can do to protect my self

I had to quit my job because I became bed bound and house bound. 14 years on still have mobility issues and have to take life slowly and pace myself. There’s no cure. In the U.K. the government have reserved money for research into long covid which I hope will be useful for those with M.E.

Another excellent video sis! Our sis Ti is so gorgeous and lovely, here she comes with the facts as always. My family was vacuumed, but I have had so many family members who got the jab and passed, or came down with the rona. Some people are also being stopped by their doctors from getting the jab and this has a lot to do with preexisting conditions, allergies, and certain medications. This whole situation is beyond spooky to me they are literally censoring us and what is taking the cake is the fact that you have to sign away your rights and cannot sue them if something if you have side effects. I am exhausted and we are in literal prison!!

Thank you fren, and I'm so sorry to hear that you've had family members who passed or had other health issues from rona. The censorship is off the rails. We legit can't even have informed discussions without wild accusations and deplatforming. I'm TIED, and I want off this planet.

@@nappyheadedjojoba This. As someone who has a family member who passed from an allergy to medicine, peoples concerns are REAL. I myself had a not so great reaction to the vaccum that landed me in the hospital. People also have preexisting conditions. I truly wish that people could abide by HIPPA laws and let those who want to get the vacuum get it, and those who don't want to, who cares. If you're vacuumed you should be protected enough to not get deathly ill. So what's the problem? It seems like people don't want to admit the vacuum IS NOT perfect.

@@RockyR While I agree with what you said, This is not example of a HIPAA law violation. The same way you have to prove that you have gotten the chickenpox v to attend public school is the same way that they're requiring people to have the covid v. HIPAA does not apply in this situation. All of that being said I do not believe that covid is as dangerous as requiring school vaccinations. That being said the virus has not been around long enough for us to make that determination. We just don't know.

@@blackgirlburntout I don’t think it’s a HIPAA law violation when it comes to kids needing to take the vaccum for school. But certain jobs that are not even medical are requiring to know your vaccum status and that’s never been done before. I mean the fact you have to show your status just to get into a restaurant. Which I don’t totally agree or disagree with - it just seems odd. Especially when people with and without the vaccum spread the C19 at the same rate.

I got my first jab six weeks ago, but ended up getting really sick (not with COV1D, but something was off about my digestive system) and I dropped 10 pounds. Doctors didn't find anything abnormal either. I may be paranoid but after I documented everything, the only change that could've caused it was my body's reaction to the jab. Now I'm trying to pick a day to get my second jab because I still believe in the vaccine......just wish there were more discussions about the side effects.

similar thing happened to me. I did not loose much weight, but I was nauseated and my bowels were acting up. all test were normal and since i had a very stressful week before the 1st jab my physician suggested that my chronic gastritis might have re-activated and my coeliac disease (that was in process being diagnosed with so had to eat gluten) might have had stronger effect on a body that was weakened after vaccine. and actually, I got my gastritis under control, went easy on my bowls and after 2nd jab I drank water (it helped me with nausea, but that may be personal) and the 2nd jab was OK and I only had mild side effects (arm pain and a bit of lower back pain).

It's been a minute..but your statement starting at 4:00 is right on point. I'm pro vacuum & pro vacuum autonomy. It isn't my place to tell someone which vacuum to buy. Btw I'm still dealing with vacuum side effects..I get to deal with the vacuum needing to clean itself out 2x a month when 1x a month was standard. Not to mention other fun things. People should talk to their Vacuum Repair Tech & decide which vacuum is right for them..or if vacumming is right for them.

I can always rely on you to give a measured, well-thought out perspective without sacrificing your passion. Thank you for presenting a point of view that hitherto I had not considered. I am vaccinated and my brother is not. We are close but this issue has driven a wedge between us. I cannot thank you enough for reminding me that part of the science I laud so much is inquiry. I am not sure when it became criminal to be unsure or want more info and I feel ashamed of how harshly I have treated my brother. And I agree completely that the whole AOC “protest” went completely over my head because it didn’t make a lick a sense. This video was brilliant and will be shared with my friends. Thanks so much for this!
