As a Doctor Who fan at the time I was quite surprised to see promos for the Sarah Jane spinoff not on the ABC, but on Nickelodeon instead.
And to give them credit they treated it well. Giving it a prime premiere slot during Halloween 2008, promoting the hell of the David Tennant crossover episode when it first aired and, because it was a BBC program, they aired it with barely any commercial breaks.
