​@govetter one of their songs was played on the radio 1.2 million times in 8 years. People got sick of the song. Then somebody on a talk show made a joke about how bad they were and then people started agreeing and then it became a trend to hate Nickelback.

All the songs sound the same, don't really innovate in the genre they play in. Suppose you could say they are a metaphor for what records labels are "Hey you had this one hit? Interesting, I'm a 71 year old musician and I think Nickelback is one of Canada's greatist exports. "Photograph" is such a great effort because it covers such a wide degree of generational territory. What's all this stuff about them being dissed? Don't understand that at all. ???

If I close my eyes, I can still see my younger self strolling out on the streets, holding my walkman with crappy plastic earphones listening to this song and feeling like the coolest kid on the block. Fond memories of their great songs, this is what nostalgia is like.

Nickelback is a great band, despite what the sheeple say.

For those wondering, hating Nickelback IS the joke. They just hate Nickelback because it's Nickelback. Theres no reasoning it's just an internet joke and essentially it could almost be considered a meme. Even though a person can say they hate Nickelback, a lot of the time they don't actually mean it. :)

So, if Chad Kroger came up to you, shoved a picture in your face and screamed "LOOK AT THIS PHOTOGRAPH!," you wouldn't be a little annoyed? He's fucking screaming (because that's pretty much all he's vocally capable of) about something that is supposed to be tender and thought provoking. The sentiment and the delivery are total polar opposites. Plus... the lyrics are inane and the song progression is sophomoric, to say the least. Who else I didn't graduate. But I did get married and have a son it was to me make a living or go to school. I have four beautiful children and still married to my only one of 44 years. No I didn't make the wrong decision. I would do it again if I had the opportunity

I took my boyfriend to see Nickelback in Wheatland, Ca. I bought the tickets and the seats was a lot of walking distance and they ended up giving us seats that were a lot closer than what I had paid for and it was a great concert! I would go back to see them again!

I just turned 70 and this song puts me back in all the good days and for that I'm Thankful!!

Songs like this will make you realize just how fast time really does fly. It goes by before you know it. I'm 32 now, almost 33, and it feels like yesterday I was 14 and in highschool wishing I was older. Now I wish more than anything I could just relive some of those times from then. Damn how fast time is....

I am 55. You are lucky to be young enough to rekindle some of the friendships you had when you were in your teen years and early twenties. Believe me when I say it is a good investment in time and effort to contact those people in the past, even those you felt were not your close friends because those memories becomes more valuable as the decades go by.

I love Nickleback songs my mother who passed away 10 years ago introduced me to their music. He'll my new 6 month old golden retriever puppy Ginger doesn't seem to mind if got volume up high while I listen to Nickleback . So those who say hate them your entitled to opinion but we don't have to listen to you furthermore what did they do to deserve hate absolutely nothing

Nickelback. That's memories in the bank of life. My dad passed in 2007, and this song...was one of only a few that made my heart hurt less. Now, it brings back memories of different times. This feeling from this song never changes, never goes away.

Even if a lot of their songs sound alike due to Chad's voice, I still think he has one of the most distinctive voices out there, along with Nitghwish's bassist Marco Hietala.
