As a second wife, I actually sort of feel bad. Vanessa is always gonna be compared to Jessica, even though their marriage lasted 3 times as long as the first one and also has children involved. My husband's ex was a basket case but even now, over 10 years later, I still hear stories of the ex wife when she was married to my husband. Makes a woman feel like her marriage will never be her own, that she will forever live in the shadow of the woman who was there first.

That is really sad. For me, personally, as the third wife, I have never been jealous of my husband's exes. I think it has to do with him and how he acts. It's obvious to me that he is over them and have moved on. I'm respectful of them for the children's sake and don't really care that they were there before me. Even in my past relationships, I was never jealous of the ones who came before me. They had their time with the guy so I really don't get it when people make preconceived notions that Vanessa would be jealous of Jessica Simpson especially when she was the one who allegedly did the leaving. People saying how Nick told her to please not leave him has been taken way out of context because back then, when they were getting divorced and it was all over the news channel and magazines, I was under the impression that he had said that not because he was so in love with her but because they just didn't do divorce in his family.

Remarriage is a sin. The first wife is the actual wife, if the first wife is not dead, remarrying is adultery. There's many scriptures stating that! I pray he reconciles back with Jessica. The documentary aired around the same time. According to Jessica's book after the documentary aired she called Nick over to her house and they slept together. @Nina Cal , No, she is not saying Vanessa is ugly. She is saying that their relationship may have started with the physical attraction, but after awhile, the relationship went a whole lot deeper where they know each other on a soul level and are able to talk to each other on a much spiritual level. Their bond then becomes stronger because of that soul connection. That's why they are still together.

Ugh.. HELLO, Jessica HAS a whole chapter discussing what really happened when she and Nick broke up. She cheated on him with Johnny, Knoxville. So why wouldn't all these talk shows want to hear what be thinks of the book? These questions are coming from the people interviewing Nick and Vanessa, they don't come to the shows wanting to discuss Jessica's book. They also have a show they are promoting.. I'm not 100% sure the timing wasn't intentional.. even if it was.. WHO CARES.. they are living their lives and have never done ANYTHING to bring up the past and tried to profit off it.. which is what Jessica is doing now.. not to mention how embarrassing it must be for Nick to have to be ready for ppl to ask him if he knew about the affair or whatever else she has written about when they were married.

He was overbearing & hyper critical of Jess. He’s getting his “Just desserts” with Vanessa!! I’m sure he loves his children & doesn’t want to hurt them & ruin their childhoods! I give him massive credit for that!! Not all men would do that! A lot wouldn’t even care!! I don’t hate him, but I do believe he made his bed & now he has to lye in it! Usually, women are talking about being empowered and not putting each other down but I see mostly women bashing Vanessa. JS needs to move on because she made her bed. On TRL they were making eyes at one another and he was married to Jessica. They were having a “emotional connection “ when he was married to Jessica.

Aw…it’s always good to see these two - they always make me smile. And they are right. Marriage is very hard, only cause you always have to think about and consider one or mor other people, and sometimes that’s not an easy thing to do. Like tonight, when my husband closed the bag of coffee and inadvertently left a stray bean on the counter - ugh! But, after almost 10 years together, I’ve found ways to work through a lot of my triggers. And, Nick is better with Vanessa. She makes him a better person and vice versa. I’m sure it’s the same for Jessica and Eric too. The mom jeans thing still freaks me out. 🙂

Also, hubby and I have a thing - when I get triggered I say, “I’m feeling triggered.” out loud and we stop and work with it till the feeling passes. Maybe that’ll help you also.

As much as they try to seem like the perfect match, vanessa dominates the relationship. I think if Nick would have waited until Jessica matured a bit they would have been a perfect match. Jessica never tried to dominate and he liked to be in charge.

I just looked it up. Anyone notice when JS is brought up in any of their interviews her demeanor noticeably changes. She tries hard to prove she is the better woman and Nick upgraded but to this day Jess has never made any negative comments about VL and always shows grace. VL just rubs me the wrong way and I sense such a fakeness and her always trying so hard to be personable but she oozes control freak and self doubt with the oh so obvious need to win some invisible contest with JS but for what?! I surely can’t be the only one who sees this in every interview they do. Also their random appearances but for what reason since they don’t have anything to promote which is typically what appearances r used for.. like let’s go it’s about that time to feel relevant. Ummm . . . Yeah. Jess had made negative comments towards VL. When Nick got engaged to VL, JS wasn't doing too well at the time. She just happened to come to the same restaurant with her family where Nick and Vanessa were sitting at their own table. Jess said rudely, that she hoped that Vanessa enjoys those $155,000,000 dresses that Nick got from their divorce. At the time I was flabbergasted because I thought, "Why would you say that? Don't you think Vanessa can't afford her own dresses? And why would she spend all that money when she wasn't wearing designer dresses and still doesn't." Oy veh!

Look folks , Water sign Scorpios like Nick and Vanessa are notorious for being very deep in thought , and detailed when explaining any experience or idea . So it's not surprising that they do that . Scorpios are very Intense , Emotional about everything . Jessica writes a book, Nick catches an interview. Not sure why, do they have 9-5 jobs now? Jessica files for divorce, Nick sells an album about the breakup and uses Vanessa in video about his heartbreak over Jess....Vanessa surly feels a certain away therefore needs to try hard.

I know your comment is old but I watch their Netflix show and I just wanted to see the personality people like you say Vanessa has. I think this is the true Vanessa, Nick and Jessica ended 15 years ago…I don’t think Vanessa has a grudge.

I totally adore this couple

Vanessa tries so so hard! I always just am embarrassed for her in interviews, she comes off like an obsession with him until she landed him. Jessica is likeable and endearing, Jessica not so much! I hope she is aware that she is not likeable to many people and at least looks at her interview etiquette!

It's so weird - why don't I like her? I don't know her lol. Oh well...rhetorical question guys...

I realized I watched this and commented and didn’t even know it lol so to add to my 3 month old comment… That time Vanessa let Nick talk. Wander how many times he called her Jessica to the point where she fears letting him speak lmao I kid but she seriously controls the narrative… girl stop trying so hard. I’m not sure what it is that makes her come off fake and at times unlikeable cause I bet if she just stopped trying to control the interview to paint her picture she wants to portray she wouldn’t be compared to JS time and time again who no one can say that girl don’t share all good bad and ugly and owns it. Something tells me JS is brought up in a lot of their private arguments at home and not bc of Nicks doing.

She’s cool and all but I’m sorry I miss him and Jessica together. 🤷🏽‍♀️
