Nick Shoulders: Full Show
Музыка
Join us for an evening of music as we welcome Nick Shoulders to the library stage for an online concert Thursday, February 25th at 7pm!
Wielding an ethereal croon and masterful whistle crafted from a lifetime chasing lizards through the Ozark hills, Nick Shoulders is a living link to roots of country music with a penchant for the absurd. Combining his family’s deep ties to regional traditional singing with his years of playing to crowded street corners, Nick has sought to forge a hybridized form of raucously clever country music; born of forgotten rocky hollers and bred to confront the tensions of the 21st century South.
As evidenced by his surreal album art and anachronistic songwriting, Nick’s creative output is steeped in the complicated history of his beloved home of rural Arkansas, but crafted as a conscious rebuke of country music’s blind allegiance to historical seats of power and repression. With a kind word and a mean yodel, Nick hopes to put the ‘Try’ in country.

Nickybob, you make me proud. I'm glad you learned to whistle from your dad, warble from your Granddad, Pat, and all around musical talent from Grandpa Bill.

My son and I just lost everything. Gotta thank you - your music is keeping us going. Someday down the road my son can say I've been listening to Nick Shoulders since I was 16. Hopefully we can shake your hand when he says it
Just found this channel, its calming and hitting my soul and heart. Greetings from a wandering soul, Norway ❤
The more I learn about Nick, the more I love everything about him. He's not just good music, he's a good guy.

Someone else described him as: "He just a hillbilly from Arkansas and it shows lol the more you watch videos of him and get to know his personality you realize how goofy of a person he is" and yeah I just love him

10, O9 minute of the show : I LOVE NICK SHOULDERS ! 🥀🌻🌻🌻🌻💓
What a voice! His Vibrato makes a Fender amp sound like Childs play lol. Serious though such a clear fully transparent and each note perfectly articulated voice and again that vibrato is so so so everything good in American music! He could sing anything from Broadway to Vaudville to NOLA jazz and everything inbetween!! Good on ya ol’ boy!!!!
Stories between badass tunes. Troubadour!!
Listening to Nick takes me to a smokey hunting shack in the northwoods of Wisconsin, drinking beer and playing cards with my long passed uncles. Gravel roads, mother nature, peace and quiet. Sitting in an office, clicking away on a computer......listening to this takes me to another place. Forever grateful for musicians like Nick
Holey-moley, Nick Shoulders has been an absolute revelation for me. The man rocks! Those 5 librarians in the audience must've had a blast (on the inside) and showed masterful restraint not going wild and getting dangerous.

Librarians know how to throw down. 😉
I am loving Nick Shoulders the more I learn about him.
Spectacular stuff Nick. High Lonesome meets Debbie Harry's "Heart of Glass". Like what Janis Joplin did to Kris Kristofferson's "Me and Bobby McGee". In stone now. Thanks so much for this great version. I remember when Debbie first blasted the waves with "Heart of Glass". And lightning strikes again with Nick Shoulders. Much respect.
Nick is awesome. Love his voice and his music. One of the best musical discoveries I've made in a while. Glad I came across his music on spotify !
Now a Nick Shoulders fan. Saw him with Sierra Ferrell is how I noticed him. Both excellent ! ! ! (IMO)🎸🎸🎸👍👍👍

This is unreal good
Man I really appreciate what you've got going on.
LOVE YOU NICK
I regret so so so much that passed up the opportunity to see this man play. I was about to drive from Indiana to Tennessee to see him and Sierra Ferrell play. I can't stop kicking myself for it. Just like his one way mirror. I feel like his music resonates with me and does something internally that I can't quite explain. Play on my friend. Hope to see him in the future.
Nick Shoulders = best shoulders

Laurel County Public Library- SHSHSHSHSHSHSHSHSH
Please Nick do not deviate from your “Natural Nick deviations” Everything about you is so fun and enjoyable.
do we have timestamps for songs on this? i sure do love me some neckshoulders ♡
I really dig this style but i think a fiddle and banjo would excel the sound! Just constructive outlook! Keep it up dude
We couldn't have cut the countdown off the front of the video?
for everyone who wants to skip straight to heart of glass, that'll be around the 26 min mark yep yep
without flaw
This has something different, a new type of melody, yodeling country is very niche and really H. Williams made it known which means it's become derivative and annoying but this is different.
Heart of Glass is a Blondie song.

You tease!! Mention Buell Kazee and not play one of his songs!
