    I love in Bedo his joking and philosophizing. From Trenton and Heath their sense of history and method, and how they love to share their knowledge. But I love in Brian what he tells with his hands and eyes. Each one has a way of conquering my heart and make me respect and admire their craft. Thanks... ❤️

    I'll say it again, the boots are always a wonder, Brian. No question but I think I can vouch for a bunch us that come here by saying your humility and positivity are what gives these boots and most importantly the videos their character! Great stuff as always, brother!

    Does humility really apply for someone choosing to record, edit, and monetise their video content? Not implying I don't enjoy the videos but some comments like this seem to try pretty hard to pretend there's a lot more to this than there really is.

    @@japesss don't be an asshole. Cobblers have to be trained for quite a while, and footwear is one of those thing where attention to detail is super important.

    @@timothynguyen4446 How is anything I said being or acting like an asshole? I never even remotely implied Brian didn't do impressive work or have attention to detail? You've clearly misinterpreted what I meant in the last sentence - I see a lot of comments like this that that try and build up videos of a artisans and craftsman doing their work into something far more than it is. 'Humility' just straight up isn't relevant here. Now you calling me an asshole - that's being an arsehole. Pull your head in.

    *Great job Brian resoling these Nick's Boots! They were very much in need of new soles and heels! It's awesome the stitchchdown construction was converted to goodyear welted! I actually prefer that on my boots! I would change a pair of Nick's Boots to have them that way. It will make it easier to resole, since the welt can be removed (when it gets too worn down, etc) and be replaced with a new welt! Overall well done Brian! Beautifully restored!*

    Hello from Scotland, Love your channel and I've been working my way through all your old stuff. I can't just not say anything (I've tried not to be that guy) I was once (many years ago) using a chisel all mushroomed over like your punch is at the end. A piece of the mushrooming came off like a bullet, not exaggerating, it was like a bullet when I hit it with the hammer and the piece entered my hand in the soft part between finger and thumb. It embedded itself 1"1/2 into my hand and I had to cut the piece out with a knife and I still remember the pain today. Dress up the end of your punch and put a taper on it.

  • @CrimFerret

    @CrimFerret

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@DB-me3jt These aren't off the shelf boots. They send you a sizing kit to trace your feet and take other measurements. They then send you a test fit pair to check if any adjustments or different lasts are needed, then they make your boots to order. If one foot is bigger than the other (many people have this issue), the boot for that foot is made bigger to fit. If you take a weird in between size, they make them to that size. These are bespoke and a total bargain.
