What's not to love about Nick x
Thank you Mahogany Session for enriching my life with this brilliant performers . So Greatful for this beauty
why does this song make feel so nostalgic for something i cant remember
When The Sun Ate The Moon, the animals leapt while the wind slipped between their toes. When the leaves touched the ground, the morning became and lifted me out of my skin. When the rain kissed the clouds, the stars made love and settled down by the river to dance

At first the water is annoying , then it just moulds into the song .. Love it ..
Wow! His eyes. So deep.
pff this guy is amazing..I can't wait to see him live the 30th. What a voice...legend.
I love seeing how the song changes over time. Like this is so different to the current version. Like the old the trellis vs today's
This music is helping me, because it's so profound in my soul... It's brilliant! I love this singer, so handsome and have a nice skill and talent.
I keep coming back in no small part for that waterfall in the background. It is literal perfection.
This song just makes me incredibly emotional EVERYTIME listening to it. Thanks Nick for giving me this experience.
Love the way he's playing with TWO CAPO's !!
Wow! Blessing to discover this beautiful talented man and his music. Take me away...touches the soul.
THAT MOMENT WHEN YOU REMEMBER THIS RECORDING EXISTS
Zero dislikles, I can fully agree.. The waterfall adds a stunning ambiance to the song. I doubt I can find something that's more beautiful and relaxing now.. Mahogany Sessions = EPIC BRILLIANT GENIUSES EXPOSING TALENT EVERYWHERE!!
What a nice little present this is.
THAT Guitar playing!! - what superb sound
Love the contrast between the chipper chord progressions and the somber vocals. Awesome.
Thanks for taking the time to post this. You know your helping people without even realizing. Putting a smile on peoples face when there hopeless. Appreciate it bud. Music is the best therapy.

This is so so beautiful. A great version, much more raw and full of soul compared to recorded album version. It made me weep the first time I heard it! Thank you Mahogany Sessions.

It really is! You can also hear a panting dog at the very beginning.
the outro of this song is just gold
Amazing sound in the background, he's talented and takes a unique approach to this type of music but i must say that waterfall is such a beautiful backing sound! Well done!

I like how he uses two capos. Very unique.

You sir, have a talent
We shot this by a small waterfall in a Japanese garden in London so that's what you hear and also see at certain points. Mahogany x

What garden?
Same here, partly it's his looks, he reminds me of an old school friend. The track itself has it's own nostalgic value of driving my car in the rain....?? Strange how music does this?
This guy is going to be MASSIVE. Watch this space...
this video is so pretty LOVE IT!!!
Love the fact this is filmed in my local park where I've filmed a couple of videos myself! Great job all round! :)
agree in love with ur channel
i like how everyone is fretting over the two capos... think about it. the second capo is a whole tone below the other capo. It's like a drop D but with 2 capos because Nylons break easily! Cheers!

Awsome, how do you capture the audio?i´m in love with the quality of the sound and video. This sessions really never dissapoint. Thanks from Portugal
Beautiful. I realized like a minute into the video that he was using two capos. It never occured to me to do that. I've got to go buy a second one now.
Amazing video!
You guys NEED to have passenger, foy vance, and park bench society all do a session
Here, have my like!
💯👏👏👏
Gotta be a genious since he's playing with 2 capos!
Ahah. What a sweet drop D
You guys are incredible. The way you shoot the videos, the places you shoot the videos, everything is just so perfect, the waterfall in the background of this video is just majestical, its so beautiful and the artist is incredible. Thank you Mahogany Sessions. I need to get a camera you film with, what one is it?
I've been 'playing' guitar for a month now, but I don't even know if you can call it that after what I've just seen. Lovely composition but really that playing was just so precise and sweet! But 2 cappos? TWO CAPPOS?! The world has ceased making sense to my small brain now. Cheers Nick.

The 2 capos are just for convenience. He probably didnt want to change the tuning and risk breaking the strings.
@gmosar

2nd capo is only for string 1 till 5. Because his 6th string is a bit lower that way, sort of a 'drop d' kind of thing.

just remember that Nick is extremely talented and has studied guitar and ethnomusicology for a long time. There aren't many guitarists like him.
Great song, nick. My first take but not the last
lurvelyy- captured stunningly like all your videos. would absolutely love to feature one day x
The Mahogany Sessions : BEST PAGE ON KZread! ;)
Se eu pudesse, curtiria mais de uma vez! :3
damn
It would be wonderful if you could develop some sort of tab sharing system for the viewers, if the artists dont mind sharing there tabs. i would love to be able to learn alot of these easier then trying to figure it out by ear. Thank you.
Looking forward to see him support Laura Marling on tour in September!
You know it's gonna be good when he's using two capos
Great stuff!... Artist contact info, and links to buy/download material? Thanks!
Do you have a download link, or a place I could this music/individual songs from?
Is that the Japanese garden in Holland Park which asks you to be quiet? ;P
guessing this is in standard looking at the chord shapes, can anyone comfirm?
Where is the original "All the things you are not yet" I can't find it anywhere!?!?!?

Hey, what camera do you film with?
The intro? What notes are played?
how do artists get on these? do apply or something?
Any chance of seeing Rudy Warman anytime soon?
someone know what guitar he's playing?
@DopedMonkeys

it isn't a standard model guitar, because, if i remember well, it was made by a spanish lutist only for him.
quiero el tabs :C
all the two capos would do would alter the key without having to change the tuning of the guitar?
Mohagamy sessions? Why the wood at the opening is rosewood but no mohagamy?
what are the chords to this song? anyone?

So I tried something out it's something like capo on the 4th fret Fmaj7, Am, G and then continuously hammering on and of the G snare 2d fret. At least I can sing along!

Nils van der Hoeven I figured out the main riff a while back, if you're still looking I can write out some tabs for you?

Based around: X33210 X02210 320203 But you hammer on the G-string on the 2nd fret and pull off to give it the distinctive, cyclic riff. Check out my tutorial for a bit of a clearer guide

Nils van der Hoeven You need 2 capos, one covering all of the 1st fret, the other covering the top 5 on the 3rd. The chords are Fmaj7, Am, G, but thats the album version, you are always hammering the G string
Good things are hidden for the angry crowd. :)

M again?
nope, just learn it actually and it is in standard.. obviously just wanted a higher key with a lower than normal E string and so to save tuning it, just put a capo on two frets down
haha double capo..
Too much ambient sound
