Dominic had to get through this toxic crowd and pull off one of his biggest wins in a dramatic two sets to love down way. You will always be remembered as a great champion. Hats off to you Dom.

At one point I was like "the crowd does realize they are cheering for a man who has hit himself in the head like 15 times with his racket right" like I couldn't believe how much they were cheering for someone like that and with terrible sportsmanship and he's shady. I loved Dominic's class and grace throughout this match. De deserved to win.

i think, even here, thiem's form had declined noticeably from Prime Thiem. AO 2020 he just had another level of firepower compared to AO 2021, but he still had the confidence. Winning was still a habit, and that was what let him keep the pressure on Kyrgios and really force Nick to earn it...which he wasn't able to do.
