When I read all the South African comments, saying this was a hit in your country, I'm dreaming about France mainstream tastes that would be the same 😎 I wish to DJ one of those days for the fabulous South African crowd!

I was working in the bank as a bank teller when the song comes out. This was my first job after varsity. What a wonderful time. The song is still a jam even in 2024.

I was 5 when this hit dropped, I have faint memories of my family jamming to it at every celebration, I play it everytime when I celebrate something, it will be the first song that plays in the car I'll buy one day

Damn...as a Canadian (from Toronto) to hear that this song was so huge in south Africa is amazing. I actually discovered this song in the mid 2000s because back in 2000 the house music scene was oversaturated with so many house music songs and tracks that it was hard to keep track of. The sample Nick uses in this track is and how he samples it is just amazing that you can almost cry.

First heard this track from Nujabes' set at Metamorphose. I'm from a city close to Toronto and it's really cool that this tune was such a big hit in SA. I had no idea. It's not often that Canadian artists (especially house musicians) get international recognition. Really awesome.

Nujabes' mixes (like Ristorante, especially) are amazing cause they really showcase a different side of him from the typical jazz rap he's known for. I feel like he could've made an incredible nu jazz-infused house record at some point in his career, if he hadn't passed so soon.
