Janet De Santo I think it's because the old opie use to get obsessed with other shows behind the scenes drama. O&A Opie would be analyzing the shit out of OpieRadio. He use to get off on other peoples misery. Jocktobering the fuck outta people until they had to shut down their facefuck page and now he doesn't "understand how mean people are online. aidan elliott I don't know why I was so surprised, since 45% of the country holds these retarded believes, but still I expected better out of network. It was something on the o and a show from about two years ago. And he was just saying how you didn't know if science had it right on this stuff. How do they know for sure, and I didn't come from no monkey. I kept waiting for the punchline, or here for him to bring it around to something else. But no, he just let them stand alone as idiot statements.

Sad Ketchup Gaming I agree, and I still think his joke material is pretty funny. Especially the storytelling stuff. However, some of his stuff is opinion based. So if that's part of the veil that you view the world through (outright denial of the fundamentals of biology and geology), then it does give me pause every once in a while. I did say HALF my respect. Fair enough?

Nicholas M Yeah but that moment wasn't really specific to Tough Crowd. Could've happened on O&A or on a roast. His regular moments on TC were funny but always felt too prepared and not as original or spontaneous as some of the other guests'.

+kovvvas Because they were. I'd look up "Cellar Crowd" here on youtube. They actually had (I think it was Patrice) talking about that they asked him "It's supposed to be spontaneous why write them out?" And his response was "Because I want to be funny. I want to make sure I do my job making people laugh." But yeah, Giraldo was amazing, however TC was not required, it was just more convenient at the time. Original yes, spontaneous no. At least, not all the time.

Freakin love Jim n Sam every morning. It's so natural and LESS AWKWARD than those 2 years of Gregg and Awful Comics. Except when he put his foot up on the console all casual. Love that all the guys in management that he use to shit on during O&A are now getting back at him. Refusing simple requests like putting a chair in his office. His new show is fascinating for all the wrong reasons. Awkward Radio. He's been doing this since he was 18 tho so I should shut up. His boy MC Dippy in Albany will attest to that. Sam's better than Opie. If they could get Ant back, then they would have a killer show. Since he's not allowed in the building, they should let him host from home like Howard did with Robin when she was sick.

Norm doesn't like him because: a) He's pretentious without anything to back it up. Typical freshmen college student viewpoints. b) He's not funny and doesn't care. He calls himself a comedian and does political commentary without even trying to make it actually funny. Norm has too much respect for comedy for that.
