Nicho is such a breath of fresh air from normal footy players. Empathetic and who has gone through true adversity. Gutted he left the storm

Been doing Indigenous recruiting for the last 6-7 years and honestly the most racist stuff I have ever seen has been fair skinned Indigenous fellas being attacked by darker Indigenous fellas because they weren’t ‘blak enough’

Prison is full of it. If someone dares put on that hat with the indigenous flag on it and they have light skin, they get told straight take it off or your head is getting caved in. Racism is messed up and you’re never going to eradicate it. I reckon we highlight all types of racism and not just when white people do it.

I’ve had that happen to me but in New Zealand I’m 45 percent màori and born in Australia and I’m full white but I wasn’t black enough to be apart of my culture me and my brother got out casted in school over there because of my skin colour and the funny thing was we loved and studied our heritage and learnt the language and the culture but the others that were born in New Zealand never cared about learning their culture the ones I was with at least

What do you expect will happen when colonialsim off many indegenous cultures has been wiped out? Red indians dont even own land in the state of texas. Lots off indegenious cultures are quick to rise and lash out on the white man.

At some point you have to just learn to ignore ignorant people and just get on with life, because they're everywhere and you can't educate them one by one. You can choose to allow stupid people to drag you down and beat you with experience or you can rise above them, but if you're going to complain every time some ignorant person says something ignorant then you'll continue to make yourself a victim of ignorance. Unfortunately there will always be ignorant people walking the earth, learn to deal with it.

Yeah i love this. Very often we forget that just because your skin is white, doesn't mean others can't be racist to you aswell.

That's cause idiots think it's about colour n not ethnicity. In the West, white ethnicities are the most racially vilified.

Sorry, but I think it goes deeper than that. It’s historical, and rooted in feelings of superiority, exploitation and fear.

@@shanewilson199 would you be surprised to hear that darker indigenous people also hold the same feelings you heard in this video? Considering racism is never going to be eradicated I say we call out racism regardless of skin colour. Whether it be the white kid who doesn’t see how words hurt, the drunk yelling at Asians, the dark indigenous boys saying things like “you’re not black enough”, the Indian Caste system. The list goes on. Call it all out.
