ive been wanting one of these for awhile, might do the red or go with the black ebony color. Just needs a black pickguard swap on either color to make it pop

Price wise this is what Epiphone should be doing with the guitars.

Nailed the classic car vibe. Always amazed how beautiful a guitar can be.

I'm glad they didn't go custom, 850 can you buy a very nice set of pickups and still leave plenty of money to spend on other things.

The T bird should come standard with a 3lb lead weight attached to the rear strap lock. 😂

The last time i picked up a bass I went on tour! Granted i was touring beer bars, but still!!

That’s easy. Gibson is (and has been for a very long time) a successful GUITAR company. Gibson has failed miserably with their basses especially compared to their biggest competitor.

Just gonna give a tip for those wanting these thunderbirds. As someone who owns one of these 60’s inspired epiphone basses (a slightly older version I believe but still, it’s a sunburst) these are the thunderbirds to buy/play for sure. They don’t come with those infuriating 3 point bridges so action can be adjusted much easier AND these pickups have a tone that is leagues better than normal T-Bird pickups. Necks are super thin along with the action being a breeze to setup and get super low. Hope this helped.

As a bass player I've always wanted to play a Thunderbird, but knowing how bad the body shape feels for players, I can't imagine why anyone would pay over $400 for one

As an amateur guitar player i was hunting for a beginner bass. Tried a black one at a local GC. The shape and vibe is awesome. BUT, the neck dive is ridiculous, the oversize headstock an issue for gigbags and the bridge a pain to adjust.

I really want that bass but it has awful neck dive. As someone who is tall and has long arms though, I look forward to swinging that thing around like krist novoselic

Im out on companies only offering models in niche colors. Not that they dont look good, but what happened to basic natural, white, black, red, blue, etc.

Now, those are some nice planks. I assume most instruments that cost more than about 500 are pretty good these days, but I’m still curious if the neck is trad Gibson bass. The feel, I mean. Spacing, radius blah blah.

I primarily play guitar but Bass is very fun.

Makes no sense to me why the 6 string costs so much more. Like twice as much.🤷🏼‍♂️🖖🏻

Meh, Gibson pick-ups are a scam either way. The ones on an Epi are more than good enough, even of still a bit overpriced. The Bird's ergonomics and technical issues are still the biggest con to getting one of these IMO. Thunderbirds flopped even back then for a reason.

Good thing ‘better’ pickups don’t matter at all in terms of sound - especially for bass (sorry bassists). At least they’re cheaper, epi still price gouging hard though

Hey Epiphone... What happened to you guys? 900 dollars is the best offer? Rn is the most wrong of all times to outright quit being the economy brand. Ik it's getting bad out there, but really... Just downsize the company like anyone else and keep selling the rich kids Gibsons. You'll always have the daddy's money market cornered there at least.
