NICE Otis Series 2 Elevonic 411M Traction Elevators at The Marriott Chateau Champlain, Montreal, QC

These are the BEAUTIFUL, ELEGANT AND FAST Otis Series 2 Elevonic 411M Traction Elevators at The Beautiful Marriott Chateau Champlain in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. This is the Hotel I got to stay at (one of them) when visiting Montreal!!!!! Anyways, as for the elevators, they have VERY NICE, Beautiful Wooden Cabs, that appear to actually be REAL WOOD, and they are FAST and RUN VERY SMOOTHLY!!!!! The light fixtures are Very Nice, and the back of the cab is mirrored. This Hotel opened originally in 1967 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, but became a Marriott in 1997. This place is known as the "Giant Cheese Grater" or "Cheese Grater Hotel" by many Canadians and Montrealers, and the elevators here were originally Otis Touch Sensitive Elevators with Autotronic Controllers, which these were Sadly modded in the Early 2000s, at least Otis did the mod, and put in the REALLY COOL AND RARE ELD INDICATOR, and they kept the Old Otis Autotronic Panel in the lobby when they modded these. i Also liked the BILINGUAL GRANDMA VOICE!!!!!! That's a nice touch!!! The cabs may or may not be original, but either way, they are GORGEOUS!!!!!!! This hotel was AWESOME, and if you ever visit Montreal I would stay here, anyways, stay tuned for my hotel tour. And these elevators were just a small part of this hotel, and in addition to being Beautiful, these were Also VERY FUN TO RIDE!!!!!!! With that said, If you thought these elevators were AWESOME, Wait till you see the Parking Garage Elevators!!!! Anyways, this video is my first video from Canada outside of the Toronto Airport, so with that said, enjoy the start of a Big Series on my channel!!!!!!! This is actually a Series 4 mod judging by the Flush Mounted Panel and that big box indicator. DEFINITELY a Series 4 Mod.

Oregon Elevator Fan Nope. This is ACTUALLY Series 2. It has Green buttons and Series 4 DID NOT use the ELD indicator.

Oregon Elevator Fan Don't worry your not the only one leaving know it all comments. KZreadr user ElevatorsinRussia has been annoying Ontario's Elevators, Pnwelevator and WI Sirens and Elevators. However they did block him but in June he learned his lesson and they unblocked him. I'm not trying to Insult him or Roast him.

Nice elevators. I noticed that you referred to their "non ADA compliance" a few times. The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 is an act of the United States Government to provide a clear and comprehensive prohibition based on disabilities and affords similar protections against discrimination to Americans with disabilities as the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which made discrimination based on race, religion, sex, national origin, and other characteristics illegal. HOWEVER, as this is an act of the United States Government, ADA wouldn't have any bearing in another country... Canada in this case. So, being "non ADA compliant" here would be of no significance.

Canada provides no such specific physical accessibility laws. Instead, they have the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms which allows provincial accessibility laws but doesn't have any specific laws at the federal level. I have no idea what Quebec has on the books. I've heard of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) from our neighbors to the north but I don't know of any specifics.
