Wooo nxe dashboard video Blades is still second best for being so colorful

The MW2 edition looks so damn nice. Also about the different look of the disc, the darker one was part of the Hardened and Prestige Edition of the game to match the cover those editions had. All at launch, just a different look for the more premium editions

I'm going to guess the reason it didn't boot Modern Warfare 2 was because the console was manufactured before the game's release. The update on the disc would just update it enough to support the game, which would be a slightly newer version of NXE, probably 8955 or something.

One of my favorite versions of The Xbox 360 console. I wished Xbox Series X gave us the option to choose your own dashboard from previous models from The OG XBOX to The XBOX 360….❎🎮

First console I did an RGH to. I remember the day I bought it at Best Buy, flashed the drive almost a week into owning it, an update bricked my drive, then I Jtagged it to get my DVD key, then once RGH came out I reset the NAND and did that. This just brought back so many memories.

Amazed you were able to JTAG it. What dashboard was flashed to the console when you bought it?

@@superstar64 it was running the second NXE dash, the white tiles. This was back in 09 before Microsoft did the crappy metro dash.

@@50ne50 You sure about that? Microsoft patched the JTAG exploit in a system update in 2009, while the Kinect dash (the one with white tiles) didn't launch until November of 2010. RGH works on any version of the system, but JTAG only works on 7371 and lower because after that Microsoft patched the bootloader.

@@superstar64 might have been the first NXE dash then. It’s been so long since then. I know for sure I JTAG’d it because I had originally just loaded LT firmware on the drive and after a small update they wiped the key and rewrote one to my drive but they didn’t write a matching key to my board so I was getting the “play dvd” error. It was the only way I could get the key at the time from my CPU.

​​​@@superstar64correct, you cannot jtag any MW2 console. The CB was patched months before their release on 06/01/09. Would have been rgh 1.2 at the time that op hacked his console. Also, mw2 (jasper v2) consoles had a kronos gpu, aka tonasket motherboard. Tonaskets cannot physically be jtagged. Only jasper v1 motherboards can be jtagged.

It was asking for an update because the dashboard was from 2008 and the game was from 2009. it could have updated to a newer version of NXE lol.

Do you still have that Xbox 360 and is it still working and do you know the chances of it getting the red ring of death or is that one stronger then the original I heard that it is stronger and I hope it’s true because I’m getting that Xbox 360
