You’ve got a natural talent for coloring ❤❤ u pick up on new medias rlly quick But just a quick tip. You might want to check if you pens are waterproof. If they’re not, they can cause the watercolors to change like the greenish skin at the beginning.

I personally don't think you need Watercolour Paper for Watercolour. I use mostly just normal Sketchbooks more probaly Notebooks and I never had problems with my Watercolour it just wrinkels a little but for me it is not a problem. And Watercolour is my Main and favourite Medium when I colour my drawings.

I think that the first brush that you used was a Chinese calligraphy brush that's why it didn't work that well with watercolour😭😭
