I'd like to see players do other things with the move besides just putting the puck into the net from behind it. Like imagine a 2on1 where the guy fakes shot but picks the puck up and passes it over the defender. Or a guy facing towards the side boards using the move to throw the puck at the net for a scramble. You could do so much more with this than just the goal from behind the net.

As a goalie I hate the lacrosse move, you can go high, low, bring it around past the goalie and score and I really just think its an unfair move, I think you shouldn't be allowed to go within 6 inches of the crossbar, meaning the goalie can seal up on the post and stop the move completely.

100% this. As a goalie you can’t do much to avoid getting whacked in the head. I think if you can sneak it in without head contact to the goalie fine but if you make head contact with the goalie no goal. If you attempt it on me in beer league on a Sunday night like a DB I’m not going to react kindly. Hot shotting in beer league is stupid anyway and I’d rather not take extra unnecessary sticks to the head from players who likely have zero chance of pulling it off.

What is Josi talking about? Didn't he achieve it in the middle of a game?

It’s so weird to see fleury and barkov with an accent. I’m so used to not hearing players at all.

Kinda rude leaving Granlund out of the interview after his move in the quarter finals against russia

The more it's used the sooner the goalies will successfully defend against it.... and the move will become obsolete... on to the next gimmick

And in the mean time we get sticks to the head over and over from idiots who have zero chance of successfully pulling off anyway 🙄 if you can do it without head contact to the goalie fine but if you contact the goalies head I say no goal and maybe penalty.

im not saying that it isnt impressive. however, it shouldnt be allowed for the same reason you cant pick up a puck and shove it into the net with your hand

As a goalie I can't wait to see someone take a crosscheck to the neck for trying it

It’s very similar to picking it up with your hand and tossing it in the net. You still can’t kick it in so why get to toss it in.

So I shouldn't be allowed to bat it in out of the air either, huh?
