Check out this in depth look of Jake Oettinger & Scott Wedgewood warming up against the Seattle Kraken on 4/13/24. I'm a huge fan of the Blackout alternate's with Skyline green! Jake Oettinger starts in this game and he is in his usual Bauer setup here; Bauer Ultrasonic pads with a Shadow Graphic, They are a Large Knee with an XL thigh. His gloves are are Ultrasonic with the Shadow graphic. He is wearing Vaughn SLR3 NHL Spec pants, a Brian’s Optik 2 Chest in size XL. His stick are Bauer “HL2” wrapped sticks with a 2X Pro core. He is also in a Bauer Profile Helmet painted by DaveART and it's all tied together with True 2 piece skates with a Bauer Vertexx Edge holder. Small note, he is also Vaughn V10 knee pads and jock with Vaughn SLR padded shirts and a Roughneck neck guard.
Scott Wedgewood gave me a run for my money this season when keeping track of his gear. He is in a True PX3 pad with thick mid stiff thigh in size 33+2. He alternated between a True PX3 595 Blocker or Bauer Vapor 1 Piece blocker. He was in a Bauer Vapor90 Glove all season. Note, his True glove and blocker have Bauer's version of a PX3 graphic on them. He is Vaughn Velocity NHL Spec pants and wore a Bauer Hyperlite chest for most of the season. Towards the end, he did break out a Brian’s Optik 2 Chest. Scott is also using Bauer HL2 Sticks, a Pro’s Choice Helmet painted by DaveART and has True 1 piece skates. Final note, he is also in SLR knee pads, Velocity padded shirts and a Bauer pro jock.
I also wanted to mention that neither goalie wanted to wear special gear to match the jerseys and they did not want to wear a black base. True does not make a complete perfect match to the Skyline green color and while Bauer can, Jake did not want it.
