The Blues aren't "giving away" THEIR best defenseman. Pesce is an unrestricted free agent. If the Canes wanted to keep him he could have been signed a year ago.

For me it would have to start with the 1st or Knies. Which probably wont happen. Then Toronto would have to add more on top of the Liljegren, etc.....I really dont see a fit. I dont want marner

Parayko isn't going anywhere. Had a steller season led the league in blocked shots and was in the top ten in ice time. Was the Blues best defenseman and at $6.5 million per he's a bargain.

I would be interested in Both Pesce and Necas in Ottawa same w Ehlers Ullmark would be OK but what about Gustavsson and Rossi. I'd like Demelo aswell

Basically getting rid of the worst contract in hockey for a premium piece. That may be the most delusional trade idea ever. Marner can bring lots of value. You would need to attach many premium picks to Huberdeau to move that contract, he’s basically untradable.

Huberdeau has be underwhelming since his arrival in Calgary and is making the same money as Marner with 7 years left on it. Why would the Leafs do that trade.

It depends on what Justin Faulk wants to do,the other high end right shot d man.Faulk is American and I think he prefers to stay in the states.The thing is Paryko just signed a contract last year I do believe for 7 years at a 5.5 cap. As far as Ottawa goes Forsberg for Samsonov throw in a pick to get him.See about a Korpisalo move to San Jose for a pick.Then a move that involves some players.Chychrun,Hamonic,and Kastellic for Jusso Valimaki,Sean Durzi and Liam O Brein. Norris,Sokoluv,Joseph to Chicago for Jason Dickinson,Lukas Reichel,and a first.Pick up a UFA top line centerman that has some size height and weight.

new toronto coach wont change anything the fans will be calling for him to be fired next april any way and its going to be a sad off season for leafs fans i dont know why the fans havent figured out that no one wants to play there unless theyre making 10mil+ a year people only go there for the 1 year "im gonna bet on myself" deal then leave the following season 😂

Great report Mike! Re: Canes: good riddance!!!! BUT....hard to understand why a team with such balance and depth can't succeed when it counts!!! Re: Marchand: I love the guy and hate the guy! Wish my Habs had him. Gotta give him credit for his honesty. He admitted to being the guy doling out the injuries for years and finally he ended up on the wrong side of it...or as PK Subban said "sometimes you're the dog, and sometimes you're the hydrant...it was Matchand's turn to be the hydrant!" I love the analogy!!! Re: Brind Amour: if the Canes are willing to give KK a massive contract just to spite the Habs they'll pony up the $$$ to keep Rod. Speaking of KK: Canes should play America's exciting new hockey game show: DUMP THE CHUMP, and buy him out. I doubt he's tradable but he's turned into an absolute bust. Abysmal stats during the regular season once again, and 1 assist in the playoffs. Time to cut bait on that player.
