I think it's best that I make a pinned comment since there are a lot of the same things being said. I know that some of the photos aren't from their actual home arenas, I did mention that for the Philadelphia one, but some teams just literally have not released any actual photos of their current arena locker rooms or at the very least no good recent photos. It's frustrating, but I did the best with what was available online. Additionally something to consider is COPYRIGHT, I simply cannot use whatever photo I find off the internet. The Bruins do have an Update locker room, more oval shaped with new rug and redone ceiling with new lighting and the team Crest on the ceiling.

The Flames one is from the Heritage Classic I will now go for a walk while drinking a Yoohoo while eating an apple flavored popsicle

LOVE LOVE LOVE this video... one thing you didn’t mention about the Pens locker room is the ceiling was made to look similar to the shape of their old arena, Mellon Arena “the igloo”, the steel look gives a nod to the history of the city as well. Good job, keep it up man!!!!

Another cool thing about the Penguins locker room is the locker room is designed exactly the same at both their arena and practice facility. Literally can’t tell them apart

Great video - love these different style of ones that look at interesting things you never see. You should rank different things like this - European soccer league crests/stadiums/kits, rugby crests/stadiums/kits, NFL/NBA/MLB locker rooms/stadiums/etc! Keep up the great work Neil!

Pittsburgh is my favorite (yes im biased) but how they made it like the Civic Arena was so cool. I would like to send you a Penguins Christmas ornament made from a roof piece of the Civic Arena.

I predicted #1 because it was just obvious. It's a work of art just like the rest of the building. Having been to the Saddledome, the Flames locker room matches the rest of the arena. It has a very industrial look to it inside when you're walking in the concourse. A lot of brick and concrete. The more modern arenas like Rogers Place look more like a mall almost with tiled floors and more attention to decor.

Since you love ceilings, will you be doing a ranking of the Arena rafters?

The Vancouver Canucks locker room has changed a lot since then. I remember back in middle school we went for Field trip and I got to go in the locker room. The locker room now has a huge Canucks logo on the ceiling and with fancy lighting too

"Go eat a popsicle" I don't think I care about this as much as some people. Really enjoyed the video though

The Bruins added a logo to the ceiling last season I believe. I've never hunted for images but they allow a LOT of access to their room on a local show called "Behind the B". Replays on NHL Network for sure. That image you have is an older one. Still a neat watch.

The Bruins have a new dressing room in TD Garden with the "spoked B" emblem on the ceiling, so the curse of stepping on it before a game has been removed. There is a partial floating ceiling now and both direct and indirect lighting. The rink outline on the floor has been changed to color coordinated dark charcoal with yellow streaks. These new improvements should move their dressing room up to #1. How about doing a video on historic NHL hockey dressing rooms of the past for comparison?

For the Golden Knights, I like the plaque on the wall (right of the TV) it has 58 circles on the plaque (or shield) of what i can assume has the names of the 58 people who died in the Vegas mass shooting a few days before the team took the ice. 58 was the first number retired by the team. classy

I liked seeing what you came up with. In 1985 I was lucky enough to visit the Canadiens locker room at the old Forum. Seeing the one at the Bell center in your video was nice. Now, before I started watching your video I called it, I said to myself, Edmonton Oilers will be number one, cause I saw it before in a video of the players having the sick kid (don’t remember his name) visiting them in the locker room. It was fun to watch. 👍

The Lightning's locker room you showed is from their Training facility. The one at Amalie is bigger, squared off, and has boring ceiling tiles lol.

The avs locker room door has “it’s all about commitment” over it when you leave.

Detroit’s is my favorite.

About 5 years ago I played a pick up game at The Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. We were only allowed to dress in the ref's locker room, but I can agree that even that looked very outdated. I remember they had old clunky CRT Televisions in there. The shower tiles were still 90's style looking and also had cheap looking particle board benches. I'm sure its better now with renovations. Last I checked, they finally got rid of that crappy scoreboard above center ice and replaced with new style.

Glad I watched this because I figured you would find this picture for the blackhawks locker room and this is actually this practice arena locker room because I’ve been in the same locker room for a tour!

The Minnesota one is my favorite, it’s clean, sleek, and modern. Edmonton would be a close second.

That’s the practice arena for the flyers, because the one in the Wells Fargo center leads directly onto the ice, and you can even see into the locker room if your at ice level

11:47..I'm a leafs fan living in Philadelphia as I am not originally from here. What is really neat about the flyers organization is that they hold open practices or at least used to where fans can attend and get autographs. For any fan in any other city, check and see if there are any open practices for your team where you can attend and get things signed. Willing to bet there will be once covid ends.

The islander room is the practice rink. The “Cameras” are fan ports to dry the gear on top shelf. The under stall have circulation too. The ceiling is just sheet rock nothing fancy.

Liked the video, a fact some may not know about is it’s basically an unwritten rule to not step on the logo in the dressing room so I’d figure that’s why some teams put it on the ceiling to get more floor space to walk around. Found out awhile back when the Penguins built their practice facility they wanted players to feel they were at their main rink so their dressing room at the practice facility is exactly the same as the one at their main arena. Also fun fact when the Canucks renovated their dressing room and all around there they asked Luongo where he’d like to sit and he said in the middle of the room hence why the two goalie stalls (which you couldn’t see in the pic you provided) are in the middle of the room with the logo facing him.

Probably why the logos moved to the ceilings not to step on them cause it’s disrespectful and it’s bad luck

Just wanted to say that for the Canes locker room (someone may have already commented this!), the logo is actually on the floor, but back when Bill Peters was coach, they started covering the logo with a rug during games and practices... I assume so no one would step on it? But it’s there! :)

the reasoning for so many teams using the ceiling tile is to accommodate the air circulation systems that are necessary to dry equipment, and keep it smelling good in there, also, the rooms that you rated are only equipment dressing rooms, many if not all teams/players have 2 lockers, a dry locker for their clothes and personal items, and a wet locker (equipment locker) that you showed in the video, overall it was a fun video. 👍

The side story on the blues room makes sense. I can relate to that. Good video. 👍

The flyers locker room in this video is at the practice facility in Vorhees, NJ. About 20-25 minutes east of Philadelphia after you cross the Delaware River. The locker room at the arena is a plain square with tight quarters- but it has the history of the team from the 70s all over the ceiling. Cool video though!

I see where ceilings are important to you, did you notice the Penguins ceiling is shaped like an igloo? I might have put that one as #1. I found the Oilers one a little garish, of hard on the eyes. But I would guess the vertical panels above are for sound dampening maybe ? Oh, and was the Islanders one from their new building ? Great video. Well done

The CBJ have both an amazing home team locker room they have remodeled their locker room so you posted a very old photo , the visitor locker room is amazing to , both locker rooms are easy access to the main ice of the arena and the practice arena...most visitors love our locker room

I think the Ducks recently upgraded their locker room. But as a fan, I totally agree, their old room was always extremely boring. The Honda Center itself is very nice with lots of recent upgrades. I always wondered why they never spent the time to give the players a better environment though.

The lightning locker room is the locker room at their new practice facility. The locker room at Amalie is a huge open square room with blue carpet and a white logo in the middle of the floor.

i forgot to mention, i'm not an Alcoholic. i'd smoke a bowl everytime you said ceiling and i'd be HIgher than a ceiling. Weed over Alcohol for me.

If you’ve ever been to the sharks ice public skating rink there’s a restaurant called Stanlees it’s supposed to give you that cabin feel and I think that’s why the locker room is like that because most of that things at the ice rink have a lotta word

You know i wonder if some of these locker rooms are used as dressing rooms for concerts/other events so that’s why they are “toned” down. I know that every arena has a different way of allocating the locker rooms for dressing rooms, for instance my home arena uses the visitors NBA locker room as the main artists dressing room and never uses the home NHL locker room as an option, but every arena is different. That’s why I think some don’t have the cool ceilings, because not every artists wants to be staring up at the NHL teams logo while they are getting ready for a show.
