Barclay Goodrow led the way on offence with a goal and two assists and Kaapo Kakko fired home the eventual game-winner in part of a three-goal third period as the New York Rangers defeated their crosstown rival New York Islanders 5-3.

Schneider has been really solid too. The rangers haven’t been amazing at developing their forwards but they ain’t missing on defense lately. Even guys like Nils Lundqvist seems to be doing good in Dallas we just didn’t have a spot for him

Nah...nah...A present is something that isn't expected, let alone, earned. The boys here came back from not only one but TWO deficits. Yes, Bread needs to watch his passing/puck management more BUT... a fantastically EARNED reward with full team effort! Lets not forget the isles were 11-0 when taking a lead into the 3rd period while the Rangers were 1-8 when trailing into the same! And that effort put and END to all of that!! Was at the game tonight...helluva job boys; ESPECIALLY Gauts whom I was calling for in every postgame vid/stream after the Pitt game & Blais' ridiculously undisciplined/stupid penalty! (believe the Blais experiment is DONE!) So great to see Gauts and his potential SHINE tonight, as well as him becoming the #1 STAR!🤩 I've BEEN saying it....LET THIS GUY PLAY AND DEVELOPE FURTHER!! He has got ALL the qualities of being another Kreids-type but could hopefully, with finishing abilities, be more consistent! Give him a shot! So enjoyed the spoils of your earned /hard work boys! LGR! 🤘🤩🤘

Rangers are the ONLY Metro team currently built for both reg season and playoffs. Proved it making it to ECF last season. BEST team in the division. Faster, younger, most intense... better!!

Ikr every other metro team just collapses in the playoffs like they forgot they are cup contender. The rangers don’t win cups but they do go farther than there supposed to.

Supposed? Two first round picks that are busts? Rangers are stacked against the salary cap. Still don’t preform based on “lucky” draft picks and a salary cap that will cause you trouble next season. So I hope they start performing because it will be hard next season.

I’m a ranger fan and I feel like that would be the best playoff match. There would be so much fights, great moments and the Boston fan base vs the New York ranger fan base will be something else. I have a feeling it will cause a bigger rivalry than the rangers vs islanders or devils.

Rangers does play in MSG but I Islanders is not from New York City they take their name from the State they play at UBS arena where ever that is lol.

Rags getting overhyped about barely scraping out a W against an injury decimated team that took 6 stupid penalities...this was the isles game to win or lose..im less upset about losing to the rags than i am upset about isles lack of leadership

really? cause all of the advanced stats paint a very different picture. both for the entire season and for this game the rangers are statistically the better team
